You should double the width, by duplicating and flipping it to make it balanced.

Btw when will Sandbox Survival be finished?

 

Just because it is a TDM map doesn't mean it shouldn't me equal. Trust me, is very hard to make a map asymmetrical and balanced.

And SS wont be finished for a while.

 

When modding is properly supported the first version will be made available but slightly bare bones in the sense of advanced features.

Like LadyHawk said: there is no reason for it not to be a bit wider. At the moment everyone will be fighting in the water and blue have a massive advantage.

No, Dont give up! simply try harder! that is how you become successful, you know!

I used to be a horrible map maker, but after alot of practice of become pretty good (or atleast i think, nobody has told me otherwise)
so dont give up, just keep trying ;)

You're not bad but for now keep to symmetrical maps, do one half then copy and flip.

 

Yes I agree that asymmetrical maps are extremely hard to balance. However This only really applies to war maps, TDM not so much. Since the game-mode is so quick all that matters is that whereever the teams duel, no player has an unfair advantage due to the landscapes on _their_ side of the map. Maps should have positions of power suth that pro players can use slopes, etc, to their advantage which after all is a great skill to to becoming a better knight.

@Clawzz, everyone starts out new. If you want to keep making maps take in the advice given and _improve_ them but importantly never sacrifice your idea. Make sure you learn something from every map. Eventually you will remember the tips and one day you could be giving them out. For this map I would say to make the ocean a lot shallower. People go on TDM to fight not so much to die swimming. Give the players more places to duel evenly. Good luck and most importantly have fun doing it otherwise, what's the point?

 

My brother has a lot to learn :D But i'm new to map making as well so I can't really say that :p

 

How soon, I'd like to see more :D

Van what is that font when you scroll down on that square thing, and That knight on the horse it says Van Huek whats that Font?

 

Font where?

 

He means in your signature it has a picture of a guy on the horse and at the bottom is says VanHuek and he wants to know what font it is :p

 

Not sure someone drew that for me a while ago.
