    I hope you didn't expect this beta to be the final form of the game. It's not. For the last month since the release of the silent beta we have been playing, thinking, experimenting and discussing things with the community and testers to make KAG even better and as fun as possible. We are at a point where we have decided what sucks and what needs to be changed. Next week you can expect some major changes in the Beta. Here are some of them:

    • New maps; None of the existing maps satisfy us (we'll be experimenting with new maps that have water AND ground battles and also maps that allow CHOICES between water and ground)
    • Migrants; we will most likely introduce migrants which will be basically a living unit counter; if enemy kills them all you lose; you will also spawn as migrants in their quarters, not in barracks
    • Warboat will be a floating base; it will allow respawning which should basically make offense much easier
    • Less micromanagement; we are aiming at reducing the number of buildings, requirement of scrolls and simplifying how techs and factories work; possibly introducing a research building

    Don't make it too simple otherwise people won't see any difference between 1.0 and Classic, and they won't see any reason to put money into something that is just like the free game but a bit slower.

    People who finds 1.0 too complexe can stick to Classic.

    What about you just add some tips for new players ? When everyone is getting how it works it can become really nice to play.

    Right now we mostly need icons on the hud telling us what factories are online, and how much of each type.

    I had idea that you should be able to put more scrolls into factories but of the same type to increase production on certain items, because it's annoying how you must build big factory just to get one item.

    Are we going to get Quarters then? Kitchens are awkward and unintuitive, food doesn't go into Storage, carrying food doesnt heal you, food is useless and annoying, etc.

    Instead of an item maybe healing me in the future but taking up precious inventory in the meantime I would rather see Quarters for healing and food that grants an immediate buff, ie. additional hearts.

    Need fix lategame for builders. When most factories finished people choice knights and archers. When you spawn as builder, to be useful you must go and farm res, in this time other class can spawn ship, make cata, fight 1-2 team fights, die and etc.

    Builders also need mats from salvaging and the ability to repair damaged blocks.

    We could just add informations on the screen so that the players understand what they should do at each moment instead of getting rid of any kind of complexity, and making the game insipid.

    A tutorial would be better, doing this would give you the understanding of what to do, building factories. etc.

    That could cover the basics, and once in-game there could be some signs, to tell the more complex.
