    All you Classic Kag fans still out there that play on the Cali hosted server, BC Flatmaps! This is the new thread for it, as it is now (and has been for the last 6 months or so) under new management. BC no longer has anything to do with this server, however, his maps and legacy will live on.

    Because I am Australian, I primarily play in the wee hours of your morning, occasionally popping in on peak times. This makes it difficult to judge your character and really know if you're a worth while candidate. Now I could make some Admin application, but rather I prefer a voting system, consisting of the Admins already part of the team. If you are seeking an Admin position, please PM me (kaizokuroof) with a reason why you'd make a good admin. I will then discuss your application with the Administration staff and get back to you (If I don't get back to you, assume the worst ;_; )

    Server Rules
    - No entombing (Obstruct the flag while it is away from tent, using stone/wood/gold) or being the last man alive and burying yourself in the ground.
    - No griefing
    - Be respectful, to errone.
    - No tunneling from behind your tent
    - No building over your own teams tree
    - Listen to the admins
    - No Bullshit policy, we're following Action[!] here, if you sass the mod, expect to be kick/banned you have been warned.

    Organised by date:

    20th of August, 2013

    - The name, obviously, derived from the fact we are Australian and hosting servers for California.
    - Outposts have been removed (New room "Tunnel" has been added)
    - New room Smelter
    - New room Library
    - New room Knight Stands
    - Additional function of Quarters (can change to builder)
    - More maps (not all flat, included are some valley/hill maps) 28 maps total.
    - 3 Arrows per fletch
    - 24 slots, rather than 20 (although can be increased/decreased if demanded and or another server could be run.)
    - Balance tweaks to starting resources (Gold has been removed bcuz too much catapsam)
    - Kscript supported*

    - Reverted configs to the original BC Flatmaps

    25th of August, 2013

    - Removed spawning with Gold
    - Siege workshop now costs 250 wood, 50 gold
    - Catapults now cost 150 wood, 35 gold

    Hiya,

    Thanks for the feedback, it really seems you guys are stuck in your ways, who am I to deny this? :D I've reverted to the old set of maps, however, have still included 2 flatmaps (will be looking to include more, similar to the style of the maps already in play) these maps are in random order, by use of Kscript, meaning you may occasionally get the same map twice, but never the same map rotation.

    Outposts are still removed, replaced with tunnels/knight/archer stands, I do have another idea which would effectively replace these as well and consolidate them into one building (sort of like an outpost, but stationary and less prone to bugs) if you guys are still unhappy after these changes.

    Cata cost has been increased, as well as the shop to build them - There was quite a few complaints with regard to cataspam, so hopefully this should even things out.

    Gold can still be bought/made from the refinery, however the cost of gold has been increased to 200 coins, you can also sell the gold for 1/4 of the original cost for it.

    Shops are back to 50 wood, except quarters (which doubles as a class switch to builder) which costs an additional 50 stone and Seige shop, that is 100 wood and 100 stone.

    Resources during building time have been lowered a little (not by much ~200 or so) to nerf Vidar - however building time has now been extended.

    So it's going to stay the same? I mean... the only real problem I had were some of the maps. The new player cap was cool and I personally enjoyed having the tunnel, knight stand, and archer stand combo.

    From my perspective, it was too much all at once. Ahahaha, I know we were all whining about it, but I think some of these ideas were pretty great. Here's my thoughts.

    • Make the tunnel the same price as the outpost and the ability to change classes. I hate outposts and it's quite frustrating when the server gets bugged out from outpost spam.
    • Keep the maps the same and maybe add nitz's flatmaps he made :p Those were my ideas and nitz kindly made them reality. I'd at least like to test them out.
    • Experiment with different cata nerfs, such as price and materials. Also no starting gold!
    • Keep the shops simple. I can't think of any reason I'd need a forge or a materials shop on BC's.
    • I'm not sure about a name change... I completely understand why you would want to change it as BC no longer wants to be a part of this, but I feel like the glorious name, BC Flatmaps, has carried quite a bit of popularity.
    I know change is scary and we're all nostalgic, but some of these ideas could be really cool. I love BC's probably more than the average person seeing as I've been a regular since the beautiful days when it was first put up, but CHANGE IS OK! At least... give it a chance. :)

    Admin aboose claim denied. Nitz albeit a little bit unorthadox, did nothing wrong. He explained you were muted because you needed time to cool off.

    PanicAttack, for imitating mute and getting in the way of investigating these claims you will be banned for a week.

    Further on to this, I am decreasing the ping kick to 300 - This will mean Aussies can still play on the server. If you're an Australian that has over 300 ping, PM me and I'll include you as a VIP for a slot always available and ping kick immunity.

    Moving forward we'll also be putting in place stricter moderation policy for the admins - Have fun out there.

    It seems that many admins have different expectations as to how things should be run, so I think some more strict policies might be helpful. Thanks for taking the time and I apologize for PanicAttack, no idea why he kept trying to intervene. As much as I appreciate someone sticking up for me, it was a bit annoying.

    Screenshot would have been sweet, I'd count that as enough to issue a temp ban. You'd need to include his name of course, in the screenshot. ^_^ Just for future reference. Alternatively, I'm idle in IRC almost all day/most days, so I'm available to quickly jump on and take a look.
