"Tanks"

How about something like warboat, but for land use? They would be highly durable to damage, but flammable. They could also carry a crossbow stand (like one on warboat). To nerf it it would require a lot of materials and big crew. And they could maybe have a drill in the front of them.

 

Relevant and close approximation of what this would look like in game.

 

It's very likely that someone has tried or attempted to make such a thing. I did see a video not to long ago of what was basically a car with a drill on the front for mining purposes that someone whipped up. Definitely not a new idea though.

 

But it'd be cool anyways. And the drill is for genicide purposes.

 

If everything that you said about this tank actually turned up in game, then things would most likely get out of hand, meaning the whole map would get destroyed.

 

Yes I agree if you had 5 builders ok each team building a tank then what would happen exactly what was Said above

The map would turn to chaos and eventually your spawn would be on the bottom of the map essentially causing you to die.

 

Such "tanks" would be based on the ye old battering Ram, as such were multiple manned monstrosities upon wheels that Sometimes also had a lite siege weapon hidden inside.

 

Battering Rams'd be even cooler... I still remember that banner with blue guys going through dungeon with siege tools.

 

Someone has also already modded giant wooden mechs which fire ballista bolts, super fun to play but you wouldn't want them on every server. No idea who made them though, you'd have to ask around to see if anyone is willing to pass on the mod files.

 

I think battering rams that do a land equivalent of the warboat's ramming function would work better. That, or a siege tower.

 

Siege towers...now that is intriguing.
