KAG How to link Steam account?

    Bought the game from steam, downloaded it. I opened the game and I face a launcher screen. I make an account and log in. Try the tutorial, cool. Try to play multiplayer, uh-oh getting kicked from every server because I'm not premium. In addition to that, i can't pick what server I want to connect to, the game just joins a random one. I checked the FAQ on the wiki and it said there should've been a "I'm new" button to link to my steam, but there wasn't. Please help ,this game looks awesome and I really want to play.

    Hm, I'm not too familiar with that to be honest, I think that "I'm new" button was removed but I'm not too sure. You can also join to #kag on IRC QuakeNet (Chat) and I'm sure people can help you out there or just wait a little more to get some feedback in here.

    Active enough, just clicking the link would have shown you though :^)

    To link an existing account, run the game through steam. the game should detect your logged in steam account and give you the choice to link with the account that you made previously or create a new "steam registered" account.
    If it has not, email support@kag2d.com

    EDIT: I just tried opening it for like, the 10th time today and it worked! Slightly annoying but Im glad to be playing this awesome game!

    No worries.

    Also to choose what server to join, you need to click "browse servers" in the multiplayer menu

    The top buttons are "quick join" based on mode and ping.

    Pretty sure there isn't truly a way to link a Steam account to a forums.
    At the same time, it helps differentiate those that got the game before(yellow), and the one that got through steam (blue).

    @Dargona1018 yellow nicks and blue nicks doesn't have anything to do with steam or non steam. Blue simply means that the forums don't know if you have premium and thus shows your nicks as nonpremium. Yellow obviously means you've got premium.

    Now, I'm not all too sure but I think you might be able to log in on the forums with the same account details you're using on your Steam KAG.

    Yea, I knew that, but most people who bought it from outside of Steam use that for it, hence kag2d.com account.
    It doesn't represent it fully, but its almost always like that, so I have taken to saying that.
    The only yellow that I know that is from Steam is PUNK123.

    It's all about forum points. You get those by doing various things, like posting a certain amount, or getting likes, or being here longer.
    Or, if you prefer a custom one, you can donate and keep said title until the duration of the donation is done (said somewhere).
