    Pretty sure they (the devs) changed how the icon calling works in one of the later builds. So it won't appear, cuz this was release a while ago. To fix it, you'd need to re-write the workshop code or the builder menu code, can't remember which.

    The instructions are step by step - pretty clear

    To install:
    1. Copy zip contents to your mods folder.
    2. Copy the Maps/test.cfg from the zip into your Base/Maps folder.
    3. Edit the Mods/Zombies_v1.05/Rules/Zombies_v1.05/mapcycle.cfg to point to cfg or png maps that you want. (like test.cfg)
    4. Edit autoconfig.cfg to use Zombies_v1.05 game mode.
    5. In the Mods/Zombies_v1.05/Rules/Zombies_v1.05/gamemode.cfg - add in KAG.as {to the very top of the scripts to load} (geti's step) <- If you want icons to work - see post: https://forum.kag2d.com/threads/zombie-fortress-mode.17460/page-3#post-314860
    6. Add the mod to mods.cfg aswell
    7. Start your server.

    If you can tell us what error you're getting, or where you're having problems you might get a better response ::):

    You can run it on a local server and connect to it via localhost, or alternatively you can edit sandbox or something to load the mod, instead of sandbox... but downburst has already made instructions regarding launching and playing from localhost:


    So almost exactly the same thing, only you launch a local copy of kag as well - I'm not sure if you need to make a copy of your kag folder, one for server and one for client, as there *may* be issues if you run the server from your same directory as client.

    Hi Guys - I have a server running out of Detroit, MI.

    The server address is: NixServ.us:50301

    There are regular players. Server has no lag. Running Linux (Ubuntu Server), with AMD Phenom II Quadcore, with 6gb RAM, SSD, and 50mbit Internet connection.

    One thing I'm trying to find is someone to help with map making for Zombie Fortress. I'm running a slightly modified version of the test.cfg, but it would be nice to put in some sort of starting environment with premade castle walls, etc. Please let me know if anyone knows of anything.

    Hi, since BUILD 1337 the zombie mode won't start.
    When i'm on the server, i've got the specator view and... nothing happens.
    In the console i see this : ############ GAMEMODE Challenge
    But before the update everything works fine so i think it's not my config.
    Any ideas ? :C

    You need to place the gold blocks ans scrolls on the image map

    The instructions need more détails for the files to edit. Because, we are not all pro to running a server. Can you share more détails ?

    Because, that's don't work for me. I can't join my server localhost.

    With this config, i have a light blue screen and before that, when i do "connect to" the game ask me to download so files. Don't work for me. :)

    Add contents of ZIP file (Zombies_v1.05) into the KAG folder.

    Then add the test.cfg into the KAG/base

    Then open up the mapcycle in the Zombies_v1.05 and REMOVE the graveyard.png and leave the test.cfg
    (This creates an error that causes the gamemode not to run and was one of your problems fairly certain)

    You then want go into the autoconfig under the KAG directory and add Zombies_v1.05 under sv_gamemode

    Then back under gamemode in Zombies_v1.05 please add KAG.as; before zombies_Rules.as;
    Also do not forget to add a semi-colon as such after KAG.as; (This was your second mistake and yet again causes the gamemode to fail)

    Last but not least add the Zombies_v1.05 into the mods.cfg in the KAG directory just a line under the info there

    Now I really hope this works for you if so appreciate that I took the time to explain how frustrating it can be to mod a server for the
    first time, I know I have been there and had to figure it out myself.
