I've just recently been playing on the Red Army Server [CTF]. I was doing pretty well: I got into their base, got an opening to the knight shop, bombed all their shops and killed about 12 people. That's when I got banned. What?! I wasn't lagging (only had 80 ping or something), wasn't breaking any general rules like griefing, and DEFINITELY was not hacking. I understand the owner of the server can do whatever the hell they want but banning someone for doing too well sounds too pitiful to be true, so I'm trying to find some answers here.

Sadly, being kicked/banned for excellent play is not unheard of. I know even as a Guard I've been accused of hacking or exploiting my powers simply because I was having a good day. Pitiful though it may seem, some people are just sore losers.

I got kicked on the server for playing archer and being a good one as well.

  8. You were probably playing obnoxiously with 166 ping

They were really mad at me for this...
And to avoid getting kicked for being too good, just try to play on the good reputation servers, not some random crap

That literally happened to me before. Some fuck on the enemy team actually switched to my team and started a votekick against me for griefing his base. The kid seemed to adamantly believe he was in the right.

Because your post was needless and spammy. Self-aggrandisement to the tune of
is unnecessary and only serves to clutter the thread.

My apologies for not handing out a warning at the time so you'd be aware of what I'd done. Would you like one now?

No thankyou, your very serious and official yet slightly sarcastic tone serves as a very stern telling off alone, you can consider me fully warned. Though I'm certain my comment would only really not be spam in this context (i.e. a member of PUG getting kicked for seemingly being more powerful than other users, and thus being OP), I am glad that you so zealously enforce the rules that make this forum safe and fun for everyone, afterall, there is no happiness without order!

I'm glad we agree. Harmony betwixt minds is so very hard to come by these days...

In all seriousness though, the apology was genuine. We normally give out verbal warnings for first offences that are purely intended to remind people of the ruleset (i.e. there's no actual penalty attached). As for my parting sentence, well, I'm afraid you'll have to forgive my twisted sense of humour. I blame my being Australian.

(That said, let's let the rest of the darling people here get on with bitterly relating their stories of being unjustly booted. Further talk on this tangent can occur via my wall or in a PM.)
