[FIX] Can't chat - Cannot type in boxes - Letters Invisible... HELP!

Since I've got KAG on my computer I couldn't chat with others. It took me a while to find out that I can use copy/paste to log-in. When I try to type either nothing happens/appears in the boxes or its like I've tapped Space ( ) many times, its just invisible. I couldn't find any other threads that can help me solve this problem. Please does anyone know? :(

I have the same problem.

 

Make sure your keyboard layout is set to english. If you've switched layout to any other language it will not work (happens to me when i switch to greek).

 

You sir, have SOLVED my problem! Thank you! I had it on Serbian Latin so when I changed it to EN it worked. :)

 

Glad to help, it's really annoying when i accidentally switch layouts; apart from not chatting, I can't control my character either.

 

stickied as it seems like a common problem and a simple fix.

 

I can't even see the typing portion of it, I really want the game to be windowed so I can resize. :(

 

go into your kag directory, Base > Scripts

change the line global v_fullscreen = 1; to global v_fullscreen = 0;

and these two lines

global v_width = 1280; // Requires v_restart to take effect.
global v_height = 800; // Requires v_restart to take effect.

to whatever resolution you desire.

 

Change the line in what? All I see is a bunch of .cfg's and an XML config
