Builder vs Knights/Archers

    I want to keep it short so here it comes.

    Builders have a far superior impact on which team will win the match compared to knights and archers.

    Yup, that's my opinion. The team with the good builders are those who wins. When playing 12v12 as archer/knight you lag around and it becomes very stalemate.

    I end it there as I don't want a wall of text. I want a discussion. So please comment and share your thoughts.

    Nah, good builders are nothing without a competent team to back them up, I do agree that decent builders that know where to place blocks are an important ingredient for any winning team, but it doesn't equal to an instant win. The problem is that if the builder doesn't have a good enough team of knights/archers, he'll be scared to walk out of his base and actually help his team out, and will just make his base more and more impenetrable, resulting in stalemate.

    I'd take 2 good knights (able to double bomb-jump and having a near flawless timing of the slashes) over 2 good builders (whatever defines a good builder)

    Builders > Archers though.

    All classes are useful for the team and they all help winning, but if we talk about impact... as ^ said, the builders cant do anything without a knight or an archer helping him, also the builder is used to build defenses, he cant get close to a base with knights and archers guarding it.

    70% of matches are won by knights, you only need some skilled knights and one shop for buying kegs and bombs, the percentage of builders (drilling the flag protection, stealing it, and somehow escaping) winning the match is low, very low, something like a 3% (the rest are archers shooting bomb arrows).

    well that just isn't true. Have you seen @kittycity run around with boulders and spikes? Or @makmoud98 with his drill?

    Last time I checked any decent knight or archer could kill any builder without help. Maybe they're effective at taking down towers/doors, but they're not winning any tournaments.

    P.S : Drills are underpowered lel
     
  6. Builders are not decisive on their own, and I've never lagged to a building getting bigger. Why don't you shoot bomb arrows or something lol

  8. I'm not sure what you're trying to prove, you said builders make the biggest impact then you shown us a score of you playing archer.
    What's the point trying to be made?

    I think he was showing the absurd amount of builders on each teams.

    In my opinion a well balanced team ready for winning would be : 4-6 builders, 2 archers, 6-8 knights (depending on the amount of builders) with a large amount of knights and a decent number of good builders you can win any match.

    Yesterday I saw @kittycity double kill 2 knights as a builder with a boulder in one fluid move. I was one of those knights...

    But on topic, I think aggressive builders have the biggest impact on a game. There's nothing worse than getting blocked into your own base for 2 minutes.

    I think of builders as more of a force multiplier. They make a push have lasting effects.

    If a couple of knights wipe your team and sit at your walls until you respawn, not a big deal. If a couple of knights wipe your team, and then a builder blocks all of your doors and ladders over all your towers while you respawn, very big deal.

    Builders on their own are pretty harmless unless they go completely unnoticed, builders with a team that can keep them alive are probably the biggest threat there is.

    Good for support/flag capping/harassing. They're a specialist class, and in a usual game you only ever need 1-2 of them on your team. Too many archers means nothing gets done.

    It's true in some ways. Dar is one of the best aus builders and any team that has him almost always wins.
