KAG How do yoy make a server that you dont have to pay for?

How can I make a server that I dont have to pay for? Because Ive heard that other people do it but I just dont know how

 

You just have to have KAG installed on a computer. For best results, you must have Linux and download the free KAG dedicated server Linux application.

However, of you have a PC with KAG installed, you can run the file "dedicatedserver.bat" from within the KAG directory. Your server will have whatever settings you specified in the file "autoconfig.cfg", including game mode, number of players, etc. I don't know anything about the Apple compatible client, sorry.

There are other considerations, too. For example, I don't believe you can host a server and play KAG from the same PC simultaneously; someone can correct me on that if I'm wrong. Also, if you have a router in your home, you will have to configure it to forward the KAG ports, so outside users can connect. I am positive there are already instructions on this part elsewhere in the forums, if you dig around, and also possibly the KAG wiki.

yes norill is right but DUCK_MAN remember always that "sv_register = 1" in the autoconfig.cfg file if you want it to be seen on the KAG server browser (remember to port forward).
BTW I am working on making a program for new KAG players who wants to host a free server.This program will have an "easy-to-understand" interface that will help anyone who wants to use it to configure a server and host it so fast I might post it in the "ressources" tab in the next few days. Still coding and testing it with 2 another testers.
