well take a look at those 2:

Well the thing is that the red trapblock is slightly less visible, especially in a fight (concentrate your eyes at the flying dem and the trap magically disappears) because it's closer to the dirt color. I'm a big fan of the invisible trap but as long as it's unfair, it's bad. Maybe make the bottom side of the block team color and the upper dark-grey/brown?

I see why you'd want this change however if this change was implemented you'd have no way of know what team's trap block it was

You could make enemy trap block appear upside down, but your own teams trap blocks appear right-side up (i,e, team dependent visuals)?
Or maybe just have enemy trap blocks appear entirely grey. Even in poor lighting blue is more visible than red.

Honestly this doesn't seem major to me. For reasons that I've rambled out several times already I'm against hiding traps.

Yeah I'm not saying "hide traps support plox geti" but just make it fair

  5. In my opinion they are basically the same, if your not looking you'll fall into either

If you want to do something about this have the brownish orange in the center become much brighter

Imo, trap blocks are fine. If you really want a change, I suppose the team color could be in the middle rather than the outer part of the block.

If you want to change it, just modify your trapblock file.

I definitely am not, and you can't deny that red trapblocks are closer to dirt than the blue ones.

I kinda agree they are equally visible
If you don't pay attention you will fall in

I could balance them quite easily, would people rather have the red's more visible or the blues less visible though?

I think red more visible is probably going to solve the problem though, because other teams have brighter more noticeable colours (not like they're even used other than in RP afaik) also red just happens to look a lot like a dirt block that has been struck/damaged.

Edit: Nvm, the sprite works off of a specific palette currently. I'd have to tamper with the palette which would increase the entire red teams brightness, unless I went and resprited every trap block to enhance the red one (but then Geti would have to rework the code).

Edit 2: Someone try this palette with increased red brightness perhaps? It goes into Base/Sprites/ and make sure you backup the original..
It's not that much brighter, and puts it on par with the other teams. Also because red is still a primary used for dirt and wood, it's still occasionally easy to miss traps even with the brightness increase.

I think that this is an unnecessary change, but more of a nuisance.
After you fall in once, you won't forget about it, and if other see it too, they won't either.

Right now, less and less people are making traps in dirt (as to discourage builders to make it their own, or knights to dig a tunnel with a spoon sword.), so either this won't matter, or there will be more cunning traps made in dirt, which are easily destructible for balance reasons.

Kind of a pointless idea. Just be more careful and aware, that's what I'd be like in a battlefield
