    My only qualm with the idea of wiring is that there might not really be an easy way to make these possibly-complicated devices and such in the map-creators.

    You need 2 separate pngs to a map, in one are stored all the shops and mechanisms, in one are stored the tiles. I have suggested this since like build 500!

    I agree with oodle, I think an achievement system in multiplayer would be great. You can try and do some difficult things for a head.

    It would be optional. Shops also don't *necessarily* need a second 'layer' but the mechanisms sure would. The only breaking would potentially be with filenames, depending on how you'd do it.

    It would be kinda nice to have them optionally on a separate, mostly transparent filled, map. However at the same time I do not find it entirely necessary considering wires seem to only go across back-wall right now and thus there will probably not be any frustrating color-switching when drawing every time a wire crosses a different block.

    Only proper downside to drawing on the same map is visibility of what is being drawn, but even then I tend to use multiple layers in my image editor if this becomes a problem and then combine them for export. (Am open to hear any other problems there might be that I might be missing.)

    I'm still quite puzzled as to why you think mechanisms require a second "layer" for the maploader.
