So yeah this thing if you want to join I wouldn't holler if you used my friend code: 6F7806
    Here's the link:

So there's this new MMO that Soulbound Studios is working on and it's called you guessed it Chronicles of Elyria. They promise a lot and I myself don't really believe it's going to live up to the hype the devs are creating, but nevertheless it appears that they know what they're doing and it's worth watching anyways.
So yeah I'll try to tell you what they promise.

    Looks nice, eh?

First off, there's of course no classes because innovative MMO must be innovative. There is a skill system but CoE really allows you to be pretty much anything. The example they use is you could make a living off delivering messages as a postman, because you can't just /msg <player> in the game. So the closed economy will actually create demand for realistic jobs.

    Some more early screens...
Yeah. So what more shocking and innovative features does it bring? Death, for one. Your character will not only permanently die when killed, it will also actually age and die of being old (they promise that the average life will last about one real life year though, so it's not super fast). There's this weird your soul lives on thing though, you can for instance play as your child if you had one.

I don't even know what to comment here, just read on.
Oh, and you can also choose if your character belongs to a family (which is, from what I understand, nice to have because it helps you, but for example you have your spawning location, appearance and abilities largely decided for you) or it is a Ward of the State (whatever the fuck that is).

I would probably understand more if I cared to read that image here.

Yeah and also your character apparently can one day discover in himself a weird talent, like you could wake up and suddenly be able to talk to cats, how cool is that huh (apparently you can also get more useful stuff but who the fuck cares when you can talk to cats).

On a second thought people will look at you on the street if you talk to cats.

So yeah it promises a lot (actual player driven world with a working closed economy but still cool random rpg-ish events, if you do it well I'm sold) and I just hope it turns out to be worth playing. The downsides are I guess that it's not gonna be free to play and they haven't even decided on the price yet.

    So yeah, links:

Went ahead and registered with your code. Looks like it's going to be interesting, although I doubt it'll work.

    Mod stuff:
Normally I'd be completely against any form of referral link when posting anything but I'll leave this one up to FBB or Furai's discretion, at the very least no one else post one, there isn't need for more than one. Oh right, the fact that you don't use a link method of it should probably make it okay either way.

Normal stuff: This looks nice, the perma-death seems like a Haven-style perma and not real perma, we'll see how stats/skills/etc transfers to your next 'family' member though I guess. I was apparently already signed up.
