Indie MMORPGS?

I was talking to my friend recently about Star Wars Galaxies (or more that he was telling me about it) and we were saddened by the fact that most mmorpgs these days are more or less Everquest clones and don't embrace that crazy sandbox-ness that Galaxies had. This actually seems to be more of a trend for games in general, many games kinda converging into more or less the same "ultimate" game (think how many shooters are turning into rpg's and vice versa).

Which leads me to the question, are there any indie mmorpgs that aren't doing this? Indie seems to be where the medium of gaming is actually progressing these days, and I'm already conscious of Haven & Hearth and Towns I believe is the other one, but is there anything else out there that I (or we) should be aware of?

 

Salem,some sort of sequel to haven and heart.
not really a indie MMORPG but it has the sandbox type of stuff.
and lets not forget how epic they made melee there.

Just gave a look at LinkRealms, seems intersting despite me having no idea what the heck was going on the whole time. And I totally forgot about Salem, I think RPS did some sort of feature on that a while back, I think that could get really interesting if a lot of people got involved, so I've got hopes for it.

 

Salem will probably be sicker then Haven and hearth.
being advertised better,the old HnH players,and probably even more factions.
and i love it how they arent aiming to make it P2W but rather like 'everything that you can buy with real money,you can acquire in the game by yourself'.
