Found Spectator Mode - Help needed

(Server) Spectator mode: Kag creates a dedicated server, but also joins it. You can see what's going inside and it doesn't seem to take a slot.

How to:

(note that there's no autoconfig part)

Problem: I can't get it to load the autoconfig file. Can it be done ingame? Can I merge the autostart and autoconfig?
Edit: it auto-loads the settings from Scripts/autoconfig.gm

Note: your server's name will be "Kag Game" set it on autoconfig.gm

 

Great find Strathos! It does work! Sadly its usage in the real-world is limited since most servers run on remote dedicated boxes.. wonder if this would work via ssh X forwarding.. hmm..

 

Join a server for the first time and keep on clicking switch teams before you actually spawn. You will have spectator mode somewhat as long as you do not spawn. (not practical but it is spectator mode...)

 

Yeah, that happens, especially when you are an unbalanced team. You will be asked to hit backspace to select teams when you die.
