    THIS BUILD IS A PREPARATION BEFORE THE NEXT BIG UPDATES INCLUDING ZOMBIES & WAR MODE
    This means the goodies aren't yet here but if you consider bug fixes and game improvements goodies then you'll be really satisfied with this release. The most important changes in this build are:
    • Changed workshop building to an UPGRADE MECHANISM using USE KEY [E][​IMG]
      All rooms are 3x3 grids that you build with the generic room block. After you have an empty room, press [E] on the room and select the workshop you want to build.
    • Outposts and catapults are built in the SIEGE WORKSHOP
    • KAG map format which saves everything on the map (/loadmap /savemap commands eg. "/savemap plaza")
    • Faster network code. Many optimizations in this area you'll notice a slightly lower ping.
    That's the tip of the iceberg, here is a detailed list. Read this (especially if you're on a Mac).
    Changes 228-262:

    - new Swordfight map​
    - fixed some collision bugs​
    - fixed tents spawning underground​
    - map format changed to .KAG​
    - \loadmap \savemap - loads\saves .KAG files​
    - \loadbitmap NAME - loads PNG map format from Maps/​
    - packet compression is back on​
    - arrows stick to bodies​
    - fixed rules time counter and display​
    - changed to larger font for catapult health and blocks menu resources display​
    - builder rectangle cursor doesn't appear if not buildable and not diggable​
    - fixed ping times in server browser​
    - fixed favorites in server browser​
    - fixed server browser password prompt display​
    - fixed sort types list box​
    - fixed most bottom blocks on map indestructible bug​
    - added speedhack detection and prevention​
    - units are decreased on spawn not death​
    - Mac: fixed ingame web browser​
    - Mac: fixed screen options not saving​
    - Mac: changed team chat switch to Ctrl​
    - Mac: improve graphic performance on​
    - Mac: fixed game crashing when window larger than desktop​
    - fixed authentication mix up when two players from same host connect​
    - improved network code - slightly lower pings​
    - added server check for knight slashing​
    - slash takes 5% longer​
    - sv_compression variable works again​
    - fixed throw sound being played if trying to drop materials during warmup​
    - fixed client crash on map restart​
    - fixed trying to connect to full server​
    - units aren't decreased in build time​
    - added \nextmap command (\restartmap works as it should now)​
    - Mac: fixed clipboard pasting Cmd+V​
    - Mac: fixed mouse button / shield problem​
    - fixed head config hack​
    - fixed bomb killing teammates​
    - improved offscreen objects netcode​
    - autoupdate can be canceled with ESC​
    - new linux dedicated executable works w/o batch file "./KAGdedi"
    Changes 262-263:

    - fixed kick and swap menus not scrolling
    - arrows don’t stick to shields
    - fixed unpredictable bomb throwing on high ping
    - fixed unit_count=0 in gamemode.cfg (one life for all)
    - fixed warmup counter display
    - fixed quarters not healing if something in front of it​

    DOWNLOAD NOW
    LINUX AND MAC USERS ARE ADVISED TO DOWNLOAD AND MAKE A FRESH INSTALL OF THIS BUILD.

    Linux server needs to be launched manually with ./KAGdedi after autoupdate (chmod +x KAGdedi too)

    I modded sword fight to have bombs.
    And realised i dont get a +2 when i kill 2 henrys with bombs only a +1.

    Horrible bugs return:

    -Bombs are sensitive and will do random shit like flying out of your hand or dropping the moment you press F
    -Knight combat is horrendous, even more lag and more teleporting.
    -Hit detection is insane. I was hitting a builder with my sword while he carried an outpost and I must have hit him 12 times but he didn't take a single bit of damage, he wasn't lagging as he didn't teleport either.
    -Same old bugs that weren't fixed before aren't fixed now, no warm up timer, outposts still destroy crap when stuff spawns on them, still can't pick up outposts easily.
    -As others have said arrows in bodies is silly and you look like a pincushion.
    -The same font we were complaining about for many builds is still there, you know it's ugly.

    Is this really worth it for the workshop mechanic? Hardly.

    After playing for longer.What Neat said.And super hero bomb jump is immpossible now.
    But the bomb effects are cool.And now we need to find gold before we can make a cata cause of seige workshop.That makes me sad cause i love catas.I will make a map now with starting gold or ask Noburu to have us start with gold on server.

    Neat: we have test builds so you post those bugs during testing not 3 minutes after public release. Not helpful.

    I'm getting new bugs I didn't get when testing. My game crashes nearly every single game I play, never had this problem before.
    Occasionally when a player dies, their bodies will be sort of stuck in the middle of their dying animation and they are circled by a red line going around them. This is also accompanied by a repetitive loud sound blasting from them (which I believe might be a second of their dying sound stuck on loop)
    And same as Neat, I am having trouble hitting anything as a knight.

    I didn't get a lot of these bugs during the test, so that's why I am putting them here now. Unfortunately the game crashing makes it almost unplayable for me, otherwise I'd spend more time testing it.

    Yeah, most of those ware mentioned like Neat say.

    When you jump into your team door it feels sometimes like it is rejecting you (you are pushed out).
    Like said before you can't double bomb jump (tested once and map ended, just first bomb jump work).
    Notch jumping on walls with hole (or how you call it) works iffy (like someone posted pictures of it on forum).

    Need to play more before say anything more, but MM don't blame your players if something isn't tested, how you look at it, it isn't our job. It's great to use your fans for mass testing less obvious things, but thinking that they will raport everything or will find everything or distinguish bug from feature is just silly ;)

    I personally like the way workshops and doors look. Workshops look more like workshops now rather than just a store.

    I do have some issue with the way Knights fight. I didn't get any more or less teleporting than I did in the last build (maybe that's just me), but I don't feel like I'm hitting anything even when I do. It just feels like I hit at air. I don't know how to explain it exactly, but before when I hit someone, it felt like I hit them. Now there doesn't seem like there is any difference in an attack, whether or not I hit someone.

    I like the new workshops, especially since they clear up the build selection screen with spaces that could be used for new interesting block types. Which i assume was the reason all along.

    The setting that allowed Rapid Deathmatch to function is broken.
    If I set unit count to 0 it now only lets 1 person play on each team (with 1 life) instead of allowing everyone on that team to have 1 life.

    Climbing and Knight combat feel really clunky to me.
    I preferred the more fluid gameplay in the last build.

    Now you can't power slash to go through two blocks :(
    I guess it's better though, but I miss crawling through those spots.

    A lot of the bugs are new, as in they weren't in the test build :S but alright.

    I am angry, I am sad. I cannot play on windowed, because game has low FPS. I cannot play fullscreen, because game is fully transparent and I can see my whole desktop through it! This was reported before.

    Platform - Debian 6 GNU/Linux with XFCE.

    FFS, I think that testing for sure is for our benefit, but I am also pretty sure it is not a duty of players...

    Surely not. Just saying that tests are for the benefit of all.
