That's...not communism. It's tyranny. Maybe that is the word you were looking for. Communism is a government without any class systems, where everyone is equal. The only reason it gets a bad rep is because it is easy for one person to claim total power and everyone else doesn't get so much a say in it. There wasn't even officially communism until the 19th century so it wouldn't really play a part in a medieval game anyways.

Communism is when one person claims total power. Communism, most of the time, ends up in tyranny because one gets caught up in their own power.

You are absolutely and %100 incorrect, and I can say that with confidence. A monarchy is when a government or rule is headed by an individual person. But I am not going to go into that too much because I want to stay on topic.

I imagine Overworld having a monarchy system with vassals and such under the King, just liek a regular monarch. So I hope classes will play a large role in the final version.

    Here's the Dictionary.com definition:
a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state.

One person claiming total power is more Totalitarian than Communist.

yes i agree that a human would be better.. how do you think the first necromancer come about? and it relies on the role-player a lot and there needs to be support for other players who may want to. Also it depends on how powerful the necromancer is and the main benefit with an ai they have rules and limits.. well unless they create skynet.
and i didnt mean happy fun land i just didnt think everyone getting wiped out by the zombies would be fun. But i do think that if theres a necromancer it should be a game changing moment.
and like the idea of just having a king rase an army to fight them. and maybe the person who kills the necromancer inherits their power or it somehow carries on?

this game will be the best game ever!

Mr. Masonmistel: No. You are wrong. That is not communism, that is dictatorship. Communism is the establishment of a classless, moneyless, stateless socialist society. Marxists believed no further than this. Leninists introduced a 'vanguard party' to lead the rest of the communist society. The weakness of this theory is that it is easy for a dictator to rise through the party and dominate, as Stalin did. When someone has total power, but abuses it at their whims, it is a dictatorship; if they use it for the advancement of the nation, then it is autocracy, total power to a single person. Jamburglar is also right, in that the system you describe involves tyranny....

Mr. Everyone Else: I love that idea, Bracket, but it can be so easily abused. However, it would give an edge to dedicated players (who can actually fight well).

I hope they add a generation system.

Example: Me and my girlfriend playing, and she becomes my wife ICly, there should be a mate option, and the next player to create a character on that server would spawn wherever she is and would be our child. This would mostly be for roleplaying, but I'd love it.

Doesn't have to go into detail or anything, just a mate option.

As well as a time progression and age system, so years can go by in the world and you would age accordingly. I guess it could be toggable, and everyone's age of natural death would be a random variable somewhere around 80 years or so? Again, I know a lot of you wouldn't like this, but I think it would be fantastic as a serverside option.

This would also mean that one person could never become insanely powerful and a King's rule would never last forever. (Of course you could make a new character after this)
Just some ideas. I like brainstorming.

if they do add a legacy type thing, I would love to see when you die, your favorite class is already unlocked, in case its something really hard, and you don't want all that time to be a waste

I didn't completely understand what you just said, but I think you are saying you don't want KAG to be like Sims in the sense that you have to do a lot of pointless upkeep for your character.
All I was suggesting is aging and I said it could be serverside, so optional. Personally I would like to have that option. And possibly hunger to actually add a point to farming and hunting animals, but yeah.

KAG has to be a monarchy. I mean, it is King Arthur's Gold.

Does the necromancer always have to be the bad guy? I mean, say that there was a tyrannical king, and the necromancer defeated him (it was easy as most of his army WANTED him dead) wouldn't that make the necromancer the GOOD guy?
    Just saying...

Reanimating people to do your bidding, which classic necromancers do, is not exactly a thing good guys do. Y'know, people do not like you taking their slain relatives corpses.

But there's SO MANY. You could easily outnumber ANY army because there's too many buried corpses. That is why you burn the dead people. Burn the dead.

Necromancers are not necessarily bad. If anyones ever read garth nix's sabriel lirael and abhorsen the main characters are usually necromancers, but they are good ones that put the dead back into death rather than the other way around, and to fight other bad necromancers.

Yeah, that was also why i said classic necromancers, since i both have read the abhorsen and played DnD. However, the necromancers in this game will be classic necromancers, as far as i can see, since they will be creating the zombies you fight.
