Creating threads in 'Help' New to the forums?

Automatically banned from servers?

    After playing for about a minute on any server I automatically get disconnected the cmd prompt reads:
    DISCONNECTED FROM SERVER
    DISCONNECTED FROM SERVER
    *Restarting Map*

    When I attempt to rejoin the game It tells me I'm banned from the server. I never grief/hack/cause trouble so this is what confused me.
    This happens on EVERY server, even empty ones.
    Restarting the game 'clears the ban' but I get the same issues again.

    The game used to work fine, is there any known fix?

    What is your ping time to these servers?

    Are you playing on a wireless network?

    Usually about 130 ping and I am on a wireless connection. I ran into a player earlier who had the same issue and speculated it might be a random lagspike on my side resulting in high ping which gives a short ban to the player; I'm not sure how much of that is true but sounds plausible.

    Can you try playing on a wired network for a while and see if that helps?

    If you can, please post here whether it helped or not. I have some hunches about the netcode (and why it maybe is very sensitive to wireless networks)

    I always play wireless, but i never really have any problems, most pings are great, around 66ms.
    Tough on tf2 servers i get round 30ms, so you could still be right.

    Yes, it is possible that KAG's netcode does not deal with wireless networks very well. It can't be compared to other games right now.

    Are you able to test on a wired network for us?
