      Read your thread on donating and you are actually indeed completely right. While donators are not getting scammed the prospect of offering a service or good as a 'benefit' of donating is a nono because it is an actual exchange as the secondary transfer is dependent on the first, which in frank constitutes a 'trade'.

        This is in essence considered in some places a scam (see private RO servers), however usually it is (as it is here) just a nice way to give incentive to donate. Most corporations will throw parades or do little 'events' to get money, no one just sits on their ass and asks for donations anymore, that is true.
