I devised an idea for a trap, have not tested it out but I'd assume it works just fine. Basically, you need a pit at least 7 tiles deep. The enemy falls in, and possibly doesn't die. WUT DO??? I think a little something called a "false hope trap" is in order. That is, you place a ladder on the side of the pit opposite from where your flag is located. About 3 tiles above that, place a spike. The enemy sees the ladder, thinks "oh boy, they forgot this ladder so I can get out of here!" jumps up, and is impaled on the spike. And if you did it right, the pit already is bumpy so they should have taken 2 points of damage before they even struck the false hope spike. A picture, for reference.

Going to have to tell you right now, that is so easy to get out of as a knight. You see that ladder. That ladder ruins your trap. Jump to the tile that has no spike on it, break bridges above you by jump-breaking as a knight, jump to ladder, jump to bridge, you're out.

The tile with no spike was an accident lol. Pretend there's a spike there.

Can still get out as long as you can get to the ladder, but it would be very hard. You're better off not having the ladder, even without it they'll attempt to get out eventually.

The other thing is that most of the time a single ladder can be very hard to land on perfectly. So even if they jump right at it, to avoid the spike they have to let off the jump button at the exact right moment. If they hold it, they jump right at the spike and get impaled.

The other option is to make some BG stone walls, and place the ladder 2 spaces away from a wall, to make the jump even trickier.
