[514] My little archer base

    • didnt read stickies, moved, builder number added
    Here is my simple creation that I use on servers for 1 day.
    Here is what it looks like:
    arcr+.jpg
    The knights and builders can pass fastly (1st floor).
    Archers can:
    1) Fire trought team door (pink square)
    2) Change angle (moving on ladders)
    3) Heal and buy arrows
    Please give me suggestions and ideas! Thanks!

    what happens if a knight gets in? archers have no way to kill it at all. one i suggest that you replace some of the second floor with team doors like this (:castle_wall::door::castle_wall::door::castle_wall::door::castle_wall:) replace the bottom team door on both sides with a stone block and stone the bottom floor
    also whats that pink block there?
    final thought make it so that archers can hit any knights that jump up ie an overhang

    • Overhangs, overhangs, overhangs!
    • The archer hole needs to be extended a bit to provide the opportunity to shoot below without using the bottom door.
    • Three-tall team doors, are, in general, terrible.
    Other than that, it's just a generic base. It's not great, it's not terrible, but it isn't going to last very long.

    The main advantage of this fortification is real simplicity. But it has also a lot of drawbacks.
    1. Easy access for enemy. At least you should make plain stone wall and teambridges to prevent enemy from destroying 2(!) doors and getting into warm quarters:B): because quarters can easily become excellent base for enemy.
    2. Lack of materials. In fact, you don't really need these 3x1 doors everywhere because it costs additional 40 wood instead of 10 stone and useless.:huh?:
    3. Low angle of kill. Archer needs mooore freedom to kill effectively. So at easiest way you should build at least balcony at right up corner of your base.:rollseyes:
    And good architectors will find a lot more mistakes, I'm sure. But I think you cathed idea;)
    P.S. Oh crap. I didn't saw these post upper here. They're all right.
