Hey all! I noticed we didn't have a thread like this yet for archers so I made one :D

Post any tips. little known facts, or little useful tid-bits for playing as archer

-Even as an archer you can still press "c" to pick up and throw enemy bombs, this is very easy to overlook and extremely useful

-If a knight is coming at you and nobody is there to protect you waterarrow + backstab is a possibility, but it doesn't work on everyone

-you can tap "f" to change arrows, this also works while your drawing back the arrow

    - I don't care if you have a knife. Use your damn bow. You'll die less and be way more effective in general.

    - Knights have as much, if not MORE mobility than you do. If they're getting anywhere near you, it's wise to run away while you have the chance.

-A bit unknown and useable for any class, but keep a a dead body in your hand. If an enemy gets too close, throw it at him. The force will knock him back quite a bit, allowing you to get away. It also damages for .25 or .5 (cant remember) so if you want to be a horribly ineffective troll and kill people with dead bodies, it's a viable choice.

    • Use normal arrows as a guide for your special arrows.
    • Personally, the best placed archer is one that isn't the main focus of the knights/builders, and can unload their shots at their relative leisure.
    • Unless Baby Jesus loves you, or someone's back is to a door and really asking for it, please don't attempt a back stab, knife stabs have very low hit priority compared to everything else.
    • You can climbs arrows stuck in the ceiling, bottom corners, or the air, but not on strap/door blocks
