Im looking for some acoustic guitar/mandolin music like dwarf fortress' theme music and Diablo's Tristam theme music (only two examples I could think of off the top of my head). I want it to be either CD or downloadable and not from I-tunes.

Apparently it is conisdered classical or flamenco guitar. So I want to see your best suggestions!

EDIT2: I am more interested in slow/medium tempo stuff for lounging and when im playing minecraft, dwarf fortress, etc.

    EDIT: Links!

Oh buddy oh man I have so much fingerstyle (classical) guitar music in my bookmarks you have no idea.

    To start you off:

Here's Igor Presnyakov for something spicy. All of his stuff is amazing and he's my personal favourite guitarist.

Ulli Boegershausen has a much more subdued style, a lot more focus on clarity and purity of sound.

Also check out Sungha Jung and Sandra Bae if you would prefer your music played by Asians half your age.

But those guys do mainly pop covers and I'm not sure if that's exactly what you want. Maybe something more like Dust in The Wind - Kansas (though this is also a pop song). There's also a nice instrumental version if you don't like vocals. Landslide by Fleetwood Mac is also nice if you want some country twang.

But I guess those aren't precisely what you're looking for. Hm. I'll get back to you on this.

Wow way to start me off Contrary. Also I guess I should have mentioned I am more interested in subdued (medium - slow tempo) for my uses. I will mainly use it for playing minecraft, dwarf fortress, etc. Ill update the OP.

not really acoustic but... anything by album leaf is nice and slow

Barcelona might be what you're looking for too. But The album leaf has no lyrics so might fit your mine crafting and etceteraing.

This one is different but kind of the same...

a Japanese band but they have a really good sound too.
I know I kind of overwhelmed you with music but I get kind of excited with these types of things. Good luck music hunting.
