AGDQ #2014 - Awesome Games Done Quick 2014!

So the AGDQ is basically a livestream of a bunch of speedrunners being awesome, by devouring games faster than light while taking donations for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

Been watching this the past couple of days, and its been a blast, super impressive stuff; did anyone else catch a speedrun, which one was your favorite?

My favorite must be the blindfolded speedrun of Super Punch-Out for the super nintendo. It is insane. I love how they are able to predict the time by the second before the fight is actually over.

Edit: The Super Metroid race was pretty fucking good as well. The commentary is awesome for a more casual plebeian such as myself!^

Edit2: Could also mention that they managed to raise more than 1 000 000 dollars for the cancer prevention foundation.

 

I watched a few runs after it ended, I liked the Metroid Fusion, Megaman Zero 3 and Bastion runs. Contra Force was quite amusing as well.

 

Ah, wish I had seen the Contra run! Do you know when they aired it? Lost my schedule, so I can't find it D:

Edit: Watched the Ninja Gaiden one. Awesome co-commentary of the run while it is underway, they explain what they are doing and why; the run itself is simply insane, I kept thinking that they were going to fail, but it is so smoooth!

I imagine the Contra run is similar to the Ninja Gaiden run in a few ways.
