KAG All the servers are gone off the list

Went to play some KAG can only see 8 servers. I not sure what's is wrong but talking to other ppl on the servers everyone seems to be having this problem.

Wish I knew more.

 

It's possible they may have all just decided not to put their servers up today but I feel like that's too much of a coincidence. This is likely a glitch. (I heard there was a new build coming today, maybe that has something to do with it?)

 

Seems like only some people got their clients updated to build 998, and there's no post about it or anything.

 

yeah I think its too much a coincidence as well. only server I can get to is in Russia. The problem seems to be different from person to person. Other people were telling me that they could only see 3 servers.

 

My client & servers were updated to build 998, I notice these changes:

• PlayRandomSound method require to play /SoundName(1/2/3 etc)
• SOUND BUGS FIXED, now sounds always play.
• Some changes to the player camera/spectator

So, they're quite big and there was no build 998 post. Something is up.

I'm pretty sure some kind of category of players missed the update (steamies, mac users) and all those servers that were updated are therefore unlisted to those that did not receive the update.

 

It's like that: Servers got updated to 998, clients got updated to 998 also but only out of steam. Steam clients still run 984. I am updating my servers manually but I'll do that only after there is a full update for everyone. Don't know why but this update was VERY messy. Servers got the update and clients, only non-steam, got it after many hours too.

Tried the fix on the FAQ didn't work so i'm going to uninstall and reinstall see if that does the trick.

On steam the uninstall reinstall did not work but downloading from the Kag2d website worked I hope no too many people are having this problem.

Forceupdate.bat in the C:/Programfiles (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/king Arthur's gold/
fixed my steam version thanks people on #kag.

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Go to Computer, harddrive (probably called C)

2. Go to programming files(x86) (if u dont have that folder just go on programming files)

3. Press the folder called steam

4. Press the folder called common

5. Press the folder called kag

6. Find a folder with a gear box as its icon called: forceupdate

7. Wait for update and all the servers will return.

 

You expect from average Joe steam player to do these ? I am sure the majority won't even notice there is an update.
