Annoying rattling sound in Linux

    Hi, I'm using Linux Mint 13, and in-game I hear an annoying 8-bit rattling/cracking sound at random times. It happens very often.
    Any way to fix this? Is this something that will be addressed? Thanks.

    It will be addressed in future, we're not sure what's causing it at the moment though. Apologies for the annoyance, playing with sound down makes it a little less annoying but it will need to be fixed when we get time.

    All Linux Mint users got this (like me)
    Probably PulseAudio has something to do with it. It has loads of problems.
