    Probably not a glitch, but really only useful when trees are scarce.

    fwiw this is just due to the way the bottom of the tree is turned into a stump again when you cut it down - it's not technically a glitch per-se, more a really subtle exploit that lets you get a few more arrows out of a tree. Trees will likely fall down in the future when cut (timber!) so there won't be such a problem, for now I don't see it as dire though.
