An online text based roleplaying game. Take the role as a medieval noble in a world of war, politics and intrigue!

I've played this since 2007 at least. The world is absolutely amazing, but it takes some time to get immersed. Realms and empires have risen and fallen and there is a rich history of the world. Although you don't automatically start as a ruler of realm, you can still have huge effects by merely writing messages. I have formerly ruled one realm, and managed to steal some territory from some allies after they lost a war. After many of my former allies joined up, I had to fight a rebellion but used it to my advantage in order to banish some of my worst political enemies.

The game focuses on player to player relationships. You will be constantly interacting with other players in a medieval hierarchy. Its very open ended as well on what you want to do. You could roleplay a loyal noble knight focused on serving his liege, or a scheming two faced villain who wishes to plot the downfall of the republic and forge a tyranny. The game takes a long time, and I've waited many month to fulfill many plans.

However if you like roleplaying and medieval times, this game is for you.

    Hmm, this sounds cool!
With any luck, it will help alleviate my boredom for the next few days, and then I'll get sick of it and never touch it again, leaving me to focus on my studies... :P

Yeah, looks pretty neat. I've also got studies, but I'll try to play it when I can.

One of the best things about this game is that it doesn't really take long to play. I've played for fifteen minutes a day for some times, five minutes when I'm in a rush. They have a good policy of letting you decide when to play. Other players can't force you to play at a certain time, and your free to set your own pace. There is a distinct separation of In-game and Real life.

Anyway, here are a list of realms and their histories should you want to join one of them. Mind you this is only one continent, Dwilight(which is my favorite continent).

Astromancer realms: These realms have Sanguis Astroism as their main religion and are under the deep influence of the Prophet of Sanguis Astroism. and inhabit the northern area of Dwilight. Deeply zealous with their faith, these realms are some of the strongest on the continent and have huge empires. It is said one quarter of the nobles on Dwilight are part of Sanguis Astroism. The following all are stated to have Sanguis Astroism as their state religion, or their majority faith.

Morek Empire: One of the founding realms of Dwilight and founder of the faith of Sanguis Astroism. A mighty realm that has conquered and expanded. The nobles of the realm take their religion seriously, and have participated in many crusades against enemies Although lacking enemies at the moment, the realm is still expanding south into wild country.

Astrum: This realm began when colonists from Morek moved westward to colonize a small island. It has also conquered and fought many wars and partaken in crusades. Recently it has just came out of a war with another realm equal in power to it, Caerwyn, whom were defeated and their land divided up.

Dalian Realms: composed of Summerdale and Libero Empire. Both are very similar culturally, as they can both trace their ancestory from a long destroyed realm of Springdale. Although now they worship Sanguis Astroism they still seek to make a name for themselves in the north.

Kabrinskia: A realm recently colonized in the ashes of the defeated Caerwyn. Founded by the noble hero or crazed maniac(depending on your viewpoint) Allison Kabrinski. This women is known to be very controversial, even among Astroists. She is a devout Astroist and has pushed her faith to other realms quite zealously. Allison may be directly or indirectly the cause of the downfall of many realms.

Well those are just the northern realms. There is still many more I have to describe, which I may do in another post. Anyway, remember that everything I've described here was caused by players. This is not some backstory created by one person, but all this has actually happened in the game over a period of a few years(approx. 3-4?). Its quite interesting to see everything evolve over time. The actual beginning of the continent was four realms on the eastern side of the continent and have expanded since then developing each their own cultures.

Some Dwilight news, if anyone is interested. Tower Fatmilak was Madina's capital city. This is a huge blow that might mean Aurvandil just won the war.

Huge Battle Fought (12 hours, 51 minutes ago)
Rumours spread and tales are sung about a huge battle in Tower Fatmilak:
    Aurvandil vs. Madina
Estimated strengths: 2280 men vs. 600 men
Infaustus Godhelm Brythonic, Earl of Lusitania is spotted wielding the Black Dagger of Bloodletting.
Bendix Lancer (Knight of Madina, Madina) was seriously wounded by Matharis Azul's unit.
    Attacker Victory!

This sounds like fun! But I don't feel like jumping in yet. More news would be great. Tell us about your stuff in particular so we can sabotage you when the time comes around.

I'm guessing I shouldn't start with Dwilight because I'm not terribly experienced with roleplaying.
