Being Banned From a Server for Seemingly No Reason?

Does this happen often to anyone? It seems people on this game are pretty happy to accuse someone of griefing for the smallest perceived infractions. I joined a friend's server of which I have admin rights and was playing for probably five minutes. I managed to get stuck in a hole a teammate was in the process of putting a trap floor over. There was a ladder to get up but there was a glitched block in the way and I couldnt get up, so I dug myself out. Got bitched at for that and called a griefer. Then shortly after my team was about to win and our flag carrier was heading to score, there was a pit and I dug it out a little bit to keep the other team from crossing. Got bitched at for that and was told I should be a builder to do that. If I switched classes it would have been too late.

Basically a bit frustrated at how the kick/ban system works. If someone accuses you of something it basically turns into a witch hunt. I would like to think a "griefer" is someone who spends about five minutes destroying their own base, and attempts to destroy skyladders, builds ladders for the enemy, etc.

 

That's the internet for you, just stroke your admin powers and let them know how ignorant they're being.

 

Yes, i feels your pain. It's disappointing that there is a extremely thin line between griefers and people making a small mistake.

 

Can't speak for all server admins, but the global mods (guards) are to witness the greifing first hand before making any kick. If anyone tellls me "omg kick (name) he's greifing omg!", I find that person and watch them for a bit. If it's obvious they're trying to break down a castle, I kick. But I've seen be kicked for "griefing" when they're simply knocking out a wall to put in a door or something.

 

sometimes people are stuck in pits, holes or something else. so they begin to destroy a wall or dig a tunnel out of the pit (which of course will give the enemy an advantage) i hate this dumb people..... press F+E and kill yourself. sometimes people are to lazy to use a backside from a wall to climb up, no they begin to build ladders in front of the tower. people sometimes dont think that the point of fortifications is that the enemy has a fucking hard time to get past.
