    Personally, I'm not sure which class to recommended for new players to begin with. All the classes have their own ups and downs.

    I would lean toward a knight, since if they know how to use the shield, they still got some protection against enemy attacks other than running away. Their sword is also useful to the team even if they just use it to click mash the mouse against the enemy blindly. Getting "boots on the ground" so to speak, because if the new player doesn't know what to do, the least they can do is train up with the knight.

    Knight class is easiest to learn as at the very least, you just jab spam and shield will be good enough to at least be useful. Also, a bad knight can't lose the game for you, while a bad builder can. Archer is also an okay class to start with, but it's hard to get a feel of how the game works if you start as that, so I'd say knight. Most new people go builder though, because they automatically think minecraft/terraria when that doesn't hold true.

    I agree on a knight.
    As builder they just build structures without purpose and as archer they just spam arrows and mindlessly cut trees (if they know that trees give arrows)

    Knight is simple good for all kinds of work and its best for new players...Until they see a wall....

    Why,you can start with a builder - just be an offensive builder - spam bridges on enemy towers,collapse them if you can, help your team to get over gaps.

    Don't waste time on getting too much resources - 60-70 wood and 30 stone will do the job for kamikaze assault builder.

    But if you play as builder,don't "improve" others builders structers,at least for a few in-game hours,as you may end in making this structure useless.Just help knights to keep pressure on,and this way you'll see which types structures are hard to capture and which ones turn into a waste of resources after you've blocked their entrance with 2 block stones and helped your knights to get on top(I love doing that).

    But yeah,knight is best.Just wanted to show you the alternative way of starting to learn.

    I think if you've played any archery games before (say, bow-master), then Archer.
    Play Knight otherwise, on a no-ticket server (so that your 0-30 kills/deaths doesn't drag down the team!).
    Builder after you've gotten a feel for movement and understand the basic principles of building.

    Knights, as they are the most basic class you can play. Then Archer which takes more skill, and finally Builder which takes experts to use.

    Depends, If you are a competent builder straight off the bat, like me I learned it very quickly so I built.

    But if not, archer, it's an easy class to use compared to the knight, when you first start going 1 on 1 as a knight usually leaves you in ribbons.

    Get archer or builder down, then move onto the more complicated knight.

    Although it doesn't really matter because you'll understand all in time.

    I would suggest Archer, there is little risk involved when you sit back and lob arrows at enemies.

    You might come to realise that aiming is tricky due to how slow the arrow is and the arrows steady drop, meaning you will need to aim in front and slightly above the target, moreso depending on the distance. Prioritise other archers and builders. Archers since they can reach you and the builders because they can (and will) assist the enemy knights to get to you.

    Quickest way to get arrows is to switch to miner and farm coins by collecting rocks, and then buy arrows in a workshop. then give the rocks you got to a friendly builder.

    Archers have poor health, so the moment you get injured you should get healed immediatly.

    This game isn't that hard. Whatever class they want to play/all the classes is fine.

    im pretty sure knigth is easiest.
    just go and stab people to death.

    a useful strategy for archer is to pretend death in a pit.
    when the enemy's walk past you you stand up and shoot them in the back while fleeing tru the trees.

    As Knights are the newbie class I would have to say Knight. Knight takes the least skill to use well, then Archer, then Builder. Expert builders win games, hands down.

    I'd recommend knights as a bad builder could mess up alot yet a bad knight is a bit less harmful, unless they're good at the game from the get go

    I agree. New Player builders can do quite a lot of damage before they pick up on the game proper!

    I still say there should be a restriction... Players should have to play as an archer or knight for no less than 48 hours before being able to play as a builder. There is nothing more irritating than trying to build a tower that you KNOW will help the team, and some noob runs up, starts taking out a large portion of the part that makes it so effective, and says, "stfu this is stoopid u cant get thru deez doors." Meanwhile, it's part of Strathos' Repairable Tower design, and I have to explain it half a dozen times before people stop fucking with it. Even then, I go and fight a bit before I come back to find it went from this...

    :castle_wall::castle_wall::castle_wall:
    :door::castle_wall::castle_wall:
    :door::door::castle_wall: So that you can run inside the doors to easily repair the blocks, to this...

    :castle_wall::castle_wall::castle_wall::castle_wall::castle_wall:
    :door::door::door::door::door:
    :door::door::door::door::door:

    And it's at that point that I start slamming my head off of my desk and needing to take EVEN MORE time out to fix it.

    I wouldn't be a fan of class restrictions, people learn by making mistakes. Then again, some will never learn :'(

    If one has got any common sense, all classes do, but if not, let it be knight.

    I played nothing but archer for my first few days. It just seemed most intuitive--aim, fire, hide. I got somewhat decent at it, but at that time I just camped.
    Then, I moved to builder, but didn't really build anything useful (aka door tunnels and stupid spike pits). I would go on mining expeditions for the whole round, completely ignoring my team. Then I would have a gold party by spamming bullion everywhere.
    Finally, I dabbled in knight, and realized just how amazing KAG could be. Bombs, bombs, bombs EVERYWHERE. In terms of combat, I was not advanced at all, but I liked to watch gibs flying all over and I killed plenty of inattentive archers or builders.
