    It’s official, we’ve crossed the 1000 build mark!

    This marks more than a thousand days since we started working on KAG, quite a journey! We’re currently looking into things to do to celebrate, but in the meantime we’ve got another bugfix and maintenance patch to get things back in gear.

    • Knight Shield Stacking
      This is now a physical thing - you need to actually jump onto the guy shielding you. It looks quite funny, like a frantic scramble to get over a wall. This should fix the people shield-flying over the red barrier as well, as they should not be able to jump on top of each other ;^)
    • TDM SpawnsTDM now works with multiple spawn markers. Players will randomly spawn at either of the possible spawns, for a more diverse TDM experience. We’re looking for some nice maps to add to the pool, drop them in the thread if you want them looked at :^)
    • Documentation work
      There’s been more work done documenting the CBlob class at http://doc.kag2d.com/ - the docs there are almost complete, we’ll be covering the sprite class next. It’s a very slow and exhausting job, so hopefully someone is getting some use out of it! Please leave feedback on what you like, what you don’t, and what you’d like to see, we’re kind of shooting in the dark here.
    • Community Sourced FixesThis build has two community sourced fixes and improvements, one from Verra expanding the timer.as functionality, and one from norill fixing mines “randomly” exploding your demolition shop. Thanks guys!
    • Misc Fixes
      I’ve also fixed a few miscellaneous bugs, including the misleading join message, which used to read “<Nickname> has joined as <Username>” - it now shows the correct “<Username> has joined as <Nickname>”. Sorry to anyone accused of impersonating as a result of this, I know I have a few times!

    Congratz on your 1000 day anniversary. Every update brings more and more smiles to the faces of every KAG player out there, especially me.

    Thanks for making such a great game and continuing to do so with such passion.

  3. Congrats guys! The TDM random spawn is really awesome and it makes maps much more diverse. (Although i'm still hoping for RTDMto come)
    Anyways, here goes a map:

    Max in devlog forgot to mention one new feature. Now Steam users can make their accounts permanent by adding e-mail address and password. Of course if they had used the auto-generated one.

    Hey,

    I made a TDM map with multiple spawns for each team. It's probably best played with 20-ish people. I have it called Crown of the Ancients, but you can do whatever with the title.

    EDIT: I just realised the version of the map I posted had some bugs with placement of the shops/spawns. Fixed placement and reuploaded. Version you see should run like a charm. (=

    It looks rather large as compared to most TDM maps, but then it kinda makes me think of liero deathmatch maps, which were epic back in the day. Would be worth trying out at least. ::):

    It's for people from steam indeed. People were able to link their steam account to a new KAG account that allowed them to automatically login every time they started the game trough Steam. They didn't get a password for their account though, so they were unable to log in on the forums or were unable to play when Steam was down. (and it's been down quite a lot lately)
