building an accelerater?

Just the other day I had an idea about build a kind of accelerater device to launch knights into the skies without the need for a bomb jump. I understand that ladders if placed one pace apart will spead up the player using it up. I will conduct some experiments on this and see if i can find some useful design that will shoot the player across the battle feild .

i'd love to hear your ideas and suggestions

.... lol what? It does work fine, unless the builder shots you too far up, then you die. Plus in-game screenshots don't work well for me (black), and if I'm too lazy to download fraps.

 

maverick thats true but what im saying is that all you would need is ladders and back walls so that you didnt have to wait till half way through the game. i dont know its just an experiment that i want i try. also GHOZT thanks for the support.

edit: I did some reasearch and this is what i found.
you reach your terminal velocity after two bounces of any object that will lift you (e.g team doors, ladders and such) however it does not increase your jump distance at all it actually decreases it. for example a accelerater made from ladders with a space in between each ladder at a 45 degree angle will make you leap seven paces. but if you climb to the top of the ladder and simply jump you will make ten paces. this has only been done by a builder at the moment and i will try to test on the knights at some later stage but by the looks of it your better off saving for a catapult and shooting yourself into the battle screaming bad movie quotes and obscenities rather than waiting for the acceleraters.
