CageFight "Gamemode"!

    For the latest test build (graphical update)

    Map based on the arena we built with Nebuchadnezzar, Quimbo and SirSalami (here's the topic).

    CageFight Deathmatch!

    Builder: no resources.
    Knight: no bombs.
    Archer: infinite arrows.
    Max health set to 4.5 hearts for all.

    Kill = 100pts
    Death = -100pts
    Suicide = -150pts (note that suiciding prevents your opponents from gaining points)

    Hey Strathos! Looks great! Smart thinking, using 'Swordfight'. I really like the queue line. Do those signs work?

    Regarding the "Unit's Left", take a look /rules/swordfight/team1.cfg and team2.cfg. Both have a "units" parameter that may help you. I may try messing around with this myself as i'm unsure how they function.

    Also, I've been running this map on my server. Like yours, it's based off of our original 'deathcage'.

    Noticeably, i've added death-pits that really add a little extra excitement (fatality!) & strategy. More importantly, i've tried my best to balance knight vs archer fights by providing some jumps that only archers can use after making an arrow ladder, making them slightly more mobile. I just wish arrows still had some knockback! :)

    Now, if i could only disable the builders so i can decorate the place more! :)

    Thanks! The signs only work offline. I'm hopping they will be useful on online servers, too.

    I joined your server today. Nice map design., I like the pits, altought I think it would benefit with a wider fight area.

    Disabling the builder class should be as easy as removing their cfg from the line
    Code:
    classes = Rules/CageFight/builder.cfg; Rules/CageFight/knight.cfg; Rules/CageFight/archer.cfg
    on bot team1.cfg, team2.cfg

    It seems to work only with all the classes or just one, though. Leaving two classes will crash the game when joining the server (bug!).

    You are right, the "unit_count" multiplier controls the Units Left: units in team = unit_count * team with lowest players count; 0 unlimited

    It doesn't seem to be working. Setting unit_count = 10 should give 20 units total to a team of 2 players. It always gives 1000.

    This is for example something I can really imagine having great fun on some Gold server (as I would not want to have the matches ruined by some random public derp).
