Creating threads in 'Help' New to the forums?

Can't launch the game on linux.

    Hello, I wanted to play KAG on linux, but after unpacking, when I try to run the game, it says
    "Autoupdate failed.
    Please goto kag2d.com to download the latest version if this problem persists.
    Last error msg:
    version.txt file corrupted. Please reinstall the game"
    And YES I did use the search function. Did not help.

    You have the same issue as this thread: https://forum.kag2d.com/threads/cant-launch-the-game.6218/. Try posting there, and hopefully FLAB will find a solution. If you don't get a reply in a couple of days, try to catch him on irc and make sure he hasn't forgotten about the problem.

    Incidentally, which distro do you use? Ubuntu?

    Please delete App/version.txt, open the game and try again. If that still fails, attach your latest app and console logs here so that we can see why autoupdate is failing
