Catapult And Ballista Riding

So back in the day when you unpacked a cat/ballista you were not able to put it stuck on one spot. It would stay on wheels. I always thought the riding of those vehicles was fun but unfortunately maps don't really allow use of that feature any more and whenever someone else sees me riding a cat or ballista then they put it stuck on there spot while I didn't want that. Basically this post is about that I want to see ballistas and cats get ridden more often.

Depends on the map itself, would be effective on flat maps, but I never see it happening!

 

make the wheels bigger so they can go thru tougher terrain(and probally a shitload of code involved so feel free to ignore my ignorance)

 

i've already coded better driving physics when i was working on my tank mod, molest geti if you want it in game. reattaching wheels was also planned for a while.

As long as the top part can swivel to face the correct direction and you don't have retards spinning you around and making your fully charged shot hit your own base... I don't see why not!

 

Well if its not your catapult you can't really complain that it isn't being driven. Other than that buy a catapult and say "please dont immobolize" and then ride it off crushing your foes!

 

I think you overestimate the understanding abilities of KAG community. Would make sense to make immobilizing unable when there's someone driving.

 

Agreed also you could make it so the buyer of the catapult / ballista can put wheels back on.
