    I think the cheapest way to skybridge is like so:
    :castle_bg::castle_bg::castle_bg::castle_bg::castle_bg::castle_bg::castle_bg::castle_bg::castle_bg::castle_bg::castle_bg::castle_bg::castle_bg::castle_bg:
    :castle_wall::castle_wall::ladder_bg::ladder_bg::castle_wall::ladder_bg::ladder_bg::castle_wall::ladder_bg::ladder_bg::castle_wall::ladder_bg::ladder_bg::castle_wall:

    The enemy can get on that.

    Stone skybridges are like tunnels; they go both ways.

    Trap door sky bridges with no stone or anything the enemy can stand on is the way to go.

    Interestingly enough, this is a rather efficient way to do it, and if they bomb jump and happen to land on the ladders whilst being stunned they will fall off! Not saying that I support sky bridges, this just seems like a good idea.

    I like the way you think, but there's still a 1/3 chance that they'll hit a stone block, and suffer minor damage.
    And also the cons outweigh the pros by a lot. This would be perfect to bridge across quickly and efficiently to the other teams teams towers, though.

    This is exactly what I meant when I made the OP. Note the title says, "The cheapest", not "The safest", since everyone knows about trap bridges.

    Skybridging can be a useful tactic. By skybridging, I don't mean building from your side to the other side, I mean from your forward base to their forward base.

    You can use this at first and when you get nearer to their base, switch to trap bridges.

    Trap door bridges are no safer than stone bridges (they dont allow in, so it's like stone) and cost more resources. (30 Wood each as opposed to 20 for trap bridges)

    Then it should be built extremely high. If the enemy does get on it you're not losing much materials when you collapse it like you would a normal skybridge.

    In fact, why do you need those stone blocks at all? :)

    No, sky bridges are a tactic. I use them rarely, but recently I used this design and it worked fairly well! I was able to get up there as an archer and rain havoc.

    I dont see the point of them unless your going from the top of a hill to the top of their tower.

    Or the top of a tower, to the top of the hill. Skybrige should be use only in the front, and to be as short as possible as an offensive building.

    Skybridge accross half the map piss me off.

  18. It really depends on the map's shape. On the crabmap, I once had a skrybridge going through the whole map.

    No, it is much more expensive, costing 20 wood each bridge, where as ladders cost 2.
