Class Subforums

    I don't see why we have them. Maybe just a class subforum would be better. I hate having to go through all these nested subforums and it really doesn't make any sense to seperate them at all- there are no issues that only pertain to one class, the issues arise from the class's interaction with other game elements, mostly other classes. And in any case there was never such a flood to warrant subforums anyways.

    There are issues that pertain to one class. The builders have their fortifications, and the other two classes have tactics specific only to them. Just because another class appears briefly in the post doesn't mean it's about them at all. If you look at the topics posted they are quite specific to that class. It's for organisation. "Ooh I can't quite remember where that topic was about the knights shielding, i'll just look for it in the knight forum." In discussion it would be "Where the bloody hell is that topic? Oh great, it's fallen to page 2 because of all this other stuff i'm not interested in right now." In short, there are a lot of topics in discussion and a lot of the time stuff falls to page 2, this helps topics being found a lot easier, especially to new people to the forum looking for specific tactics or looking to ask a specific question.

    Personally I don't really use archer, so I wouldn't need to frequent the archer subforum that much (if I wasn't such a forum addict) I could just look up topics in the knight and builder subforum, without archer topics which i'm not interested in taking up all of discussion front page.

    When I suggested this I was also hoping the sub-forums would be accessible with one click rather than having two, but that also doesn't matter because it's really not that tedious unless you decide to post something new every minute.

    EDIT: It's the same reason why you separate help and discussion. If I have any unread topics in help, I just mark the forum as read.

    I understand the point about organisation but generally only think its worth having if there is sufficient content to demand it (i.e. enough posts specific to each class).
    I'm really not sure there is. If the sub-forums are still relatively empty after a couple of weeks I would suggest discontinuing them.
