Concerns about bottom of the map

Okay, so I was playing this match today and the enemy team managed to dig all the way to the bottom of the map in front of their main hall. For those that doesn't know, being at the bottom of the map without something under your feet makes you fall off! You die! Fair enough you might think, but this pit of doom got so wide whole warships went down into it! It drained all the water (vertically). If the trench had been wider, the game would be pretty much at a stalemate. It seems to me to be an unintentional side effect.

It's really a borderline issue, but I think the bottom of the map at least shouldn't drain the water. :p
