Naming your maps is a good idea, just saying.

Yeah, it definitely needs a name. If you don't want to name it yourself, I can make some recommendations.

    "No Man's Land"
"King of the Pit" (vs. King of the Hill, heh.)
    "Crater"
    "The Split"

There are many names for such a map.

I personally like the sound of "Curvature". Besides the point, quite the different map design! Gold seems a little bit deep and although it's not the biggest issue, tree placement looks very unnatural. Just my two cents.

Hmm... your comment regarding tree placement has got me thinking, Xiphosuran. If one were to make a map with only a couple of trees at each base, and a large number in the center, armies would fight over a source of WOOD with which to build doors, ladders, and bridges.

    'Twould be quite interesting.

Only if there are limited lives or no actual wood on spawn.

I think a part of the unnatural look of the trees is the fact that they're all almost the same height.
Whenever I make a map, I do the trees one by one so they aren't all the same height, it just looks better imo.
Spreading them out a few tiles each does help too.

    Looks interesting.
    Gonna try it out later.
Though I do like how you put the tents in the dirt circle things

The new map looks pretty cool.

The only critique I have is that your maps have a bunch of unused sky space. I would crop them down a bit.

Keep up the good work, though. :P

Yeah, there's hella sky space where you know people are going to be trying to build massive skybridges on. Shit will be collapsing on top of you constantly and castle breaching will focus less on ground movement and more on "Who can build their skybridge to reach the other side and not collapse first".

I don't like to limit the air space on the maps as it restricts the player from building whatever he wishes, as most like to build sky high towers.

    Also, new map up!
