[CTF] Mimiga Fortress

    Hey guys, this is my second map (in the same day :D).

    The right side, anyways.
    Note: This map is meant to be hard, the towers are intentionally weak, and is focused on not combat, but about strategy (bomb jumping, infiltrating, catapulting ... etc.)
    The map is 200x150.

    The map has a decent amount of trees, and tons of stone, as you can see on the picture below, however, they won't be very useful in the terrain that I gave you, because of two reasons, one, because of all the random "grass" I put down (I tried to make it like in the picture) and two, there isn't much space to build in the island your tent is in. There's a bit of gold inside that circle of stone hanging under your tent, but that's all you get, and if you run out, you gotta go scavenging from the island above your tent.

    I filled the ground below the floating islands with lots of rocks, for easier resource gathering (instead of going all the way back up) and bedrock, because I honestly dislike tunnelers :p
    Also there's some extra gold below the dirt in the middle, for the teams to fight for.

    As I said before, I made the fortresses intentionally weak, so a good tactic would be to build a cata early in game, and break the front and back walls of the tower, and if it doesn't fall, then make a way up, and you just got into their tower. I also made some bomb jumping/cata spots on the balconies where the team doors are. The ladders were made so that you wouldn't be slowed down by a full length ladder, and that enemies could easily disable it, so that the only way you could go would be down.

    The fall from the upper level of the tower was made because I was too lazy to make extra stairs. :p Also the roof of the tower is a very good bomb jumping site, because you'd be able to attack and infiltrate from above, if they haven't already covered up the dirt backwalls that's supporting the long island. Getting out would be a problem though :)

    Also that square room that I made in the middle level would be an excellent second base to put shops, quarters and outposts, in case a knight infiltrated from the top and bombed everything ;)

    Note: The ladders I'm standing on aren't actually in the actual map, it's just to get a better screenshot :p

    Hopefully this map doesn't make it ridiculously unbalanced when a team's fortress gets invaded/collapsed, lol.

    As always, suggestions/comments are welcome.

    You can use this map anywhere you want, just be sure to PM me please, I'd like to try it out on a server also. ^^

    Interesting design! I love Cave Story, so this is pretty cool. Having all those different levels to fight on, especially the top overhang should be interesting. Once the towers collapse (if they do), it'd be a battle to build up again and protect what little ground you have left to hold.

    If you have any suggestions/want to add something, just tell me, cause I think that the fortresses need a bit more work :p

  6. Hey melan you put some real good work into this. Maybe we could add it too POWER ctf along with the arena maps...would be an idea.

    Yep, asked army about loading my first map yesterday, however when he tried loading the map the server would crash o_o.
    I went on a server that used my first map though.
    Maybe this one will be different :)
