[CTF][TDM] Super Mario Brothers 1-3

    Couldn't come up with an original name. Asymmetrical map, 175x20, modeled after the second level of the original Super Mario Brothers game, 16:1 pixel:block scale. Due to red having an obvious stone advantage over blue, (Because of the stone castle they spawn in + nearby stone platforms), blue has five large trees compared to red only having four, + all of the trap bridges on the map that are modeled as platforms are in blue team's favor. For balance's sake + so as not to go overboard with unnecessary dirt background walls, I've made a few changes to "coin"/gold placement all across the map and platform placement in one area. If you have any suggestions to improve this map, let me know- I'll probably implement them. The screenshots will tell you everything else about the map.

    Realized the four platforms in 1-3 need no dirt walls since they're designed to fall anyway, so those few walls have been removed!

    1/13/12
    Replaced 2 of the 4 platforms, (All of which were previously blue), nearest to red team with red platforms
    Added dirt background walls to all 4 platforms
    Added a 1 block thick layer of thick stone to the top of all bedrock platforms past each side's spawn point
    Moved several gold blocks up 1 block to make room for the thick stone
    Added 1 more tree to red's side to keep the number of trees perfectly even

    Now take 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3 and link them all together. Eheh. Ehehheeh.

    I was just thinking you could put a warp pipe (stone tube with ladders in it) connecting 1-2 to the surface at both ends, and those would lead to the end of 1-1 and the beginning of 1-3. You'd have to fill in a bunch of space with bedrock above and to the sides of 1-2, though, and it would be a huge map.

    Edit: Actually you wouldn't have to fill in to the sides of 1-2, because that has to be empty for people to die from falling in pits. ^^

    I like this idea!

    Yeah, you're right about it being huge, though, horizontally. And with how crunched together the map is vertically, it's like the entire thing would be one, huge chokepoint. Hmm. Maybe the central 1-2 section could be optional, and the area above it could be walked over? And I could make the map taller, so people could use trees to build skybridges... Hmm.

    Hrm. I don't like skybridges, so I think the ceiling should stay pretty low. As long as there are limited lives, chokepoints are fine with me, since whichever team plays better will lose fewer people. I dunno if this map would get played on limited lives servers though... I never play on unlimited lives servers.

    Here's a lulzy idea: Put trees on certain platforms so that archers can make it all the way across the map without help. Plus, since archers can't break anything except dirt, it could be marketed as an Archer Wars sort of map, with the only class available being archer.

    I think he meant the one block wide glitch tunnels. And I hope he was joking. That bug's probably gonna be fixed in the next update.
