    Didn't know where else to post these.
    Here are some map generation files.

    Tested at 400 x 200 level size.

    They haven't been tested much, and probably suck :D. But I figured I would post them, and maybe get some critiques. I'll make more if people find them decent. I get really tired of the same old map all the time.

    CRATERS [new]

    Just three little craters. Kinda lame, but I wanted to try doing more simple style maps.

    ANTS [new]

    Lots of underground tunnels that don't require much clearing. Not many hard drops, or climbs. Tried to add a bunch of bedrock to make paths more permanent.

    MOUNT THOR [new]

    Generates a bumpy mountain. Mostly scalable without a ladder.

    THREE TOWERS
    [​IMG]
    Teams start off with towers of protection. These towers could be used for all sorts of junk.

    CRAWL (aka No Skybridges:>:(:)

    The surface is really close to the ground, making towering hard. Defense will have to take place underground.

    FIREWALL

    Bases are kind of close together. The towers on the far sides could be used for back door attacks.

    I like them, it would seem. Firewall really seems interesting, as both teams could skybridge their way to the middle and fight.

    Dislike 1st and 3rd immediately because of the massive landforms. It gives people too much of an advantage and makes games messy and long.

    2 is ok.

    Is anyone aware of what happens when you hit the bottom of the map?

    Do you fall into some endless abyss and die? If so, I recommend a floating islands map.

    Last time I checked, it was a black shading over a tile, it was like a swamp, you couldn't get out of it by jumping, you'd get stuck at the bottom, you'd have to put a ladder on the tile.

    Felt like making more. Tried to listen to the critiques and base the designs off how people voted.
    No more massive structures. Except for Thor, but I don't think it's too massive.

    I can't add more poll options, so post below if you don't like the designs, so I can try making better ones.

    Edit: Does any one know if I'm allowed to post these config files? Is MM against it?

    I don't really like these maps, the terrain is too varying and difficult. I like very short, but very long maps (with a larger emphasis on siege and defense).

    I know what you mean. Especially when the server isn't packed, having all these paths divides the troops too much.

    The default map is too perfect :D. I guess I'll try real map making. Instead of config files.

    Mount Thor is cool. I always liked the idea of a mountain in the middle of the battlefield. If you take it, it gives you a serious territorial advantage, and the enemy really has to fight back well to keep you from destroying their castle bit by bit.

    I still think you should make a "floating islands" style map.

    I personally love experimenting with the configs, so i appreciated your themed generated maps.

    Yeah, the little islands fall apart as soon as you mine anything on them :X Here is a newer version that is a lot harder to completely obliterate:
    -No more falling islands
    -Lots more stone and bedrock
