F + E suicide makes me a team killer.

I spawn as a knight and move out of the tent, jump over the wall and fell on a pit being made by two minners, I asked them to build me a ladder but they do not respond, so I decided to suicide since that would be faster than cuting blocks to make a ladder, so I press F + E to suicide but I still had my bomb, so the bomb drops and kills both workers making me look like a griefer idiot.

I think there's a way to change keys, but I still think the default keys for suicide should not include F... Makes no sense.

And also, what determines whether a bomb can team kill or not?, I've played a lot and I still can't figure it out.

 

True, i did have this problem too. Configureable buttons would be usefull.

 

If a bomb detonates on top of bedrock, the debris from said bedrock will kill your team, not the bomb itself.

 

That's just really not the point...at all.
Good to know though.

 

He asked why bombs sometimes kill teammates and the answer is the shrapnel from bedrock. It is definitely relevant.

 

I have an even worse case of this, although it's partially my own fault for not thinking. I was at an outpost, and had to get to another outpost I was linked to respawn at very quickly. So I pressed F+E, not realizing I still had bomb left...and accidentally blew up my team's outpost. And got banned from the server as griefer, of course.

 

I think suicide should just be one button, say "K", for kill.

"F + E" honestly is a bad choice for this, I've done the same thing many times, dropping a bomb accidentally.

 

Should be B + S for suicide.
Makes sense... S is crouch so its like you're doing seppuku or something

 

That would be weird to press those 2 buttons.

 

This one really needs a fix, whatever it is. There's currently no way (that I know of) to suicide as a knight without ignighting your bomb if you have one. It really makes things tricky in certain situations.

 

I like that. Some key far away so you have to actually move your wasd-fingers to press it. And since I can't think of any situation where you need to suicide quickly ingame (maybe only if you're surrounded by enemies and don't want them to get a free kill but that's unfair playing) that wouldn't be a problem.
