Foreground Sprites and Structures. What would be useful to build on the foreground?

Been gone a while, so there could have been mention of this, but let's see if we can keep some structure in these building suggestions. What I'm talking about is the foreground layer of sprites in the game. The grass and other cosmetics. How could this be used by the builders and other characters to create some interesting gameplay mechanics.

Hiding yourself in the grass and bodies as an archer is pretty fun, it adds a very minimal stealth mechanic. Being able to hide behind structures built created by builders would add a whole new element to combat. Archers would have new cover to snipe from, knights could lay in weight for a lone fool, builders could wait out a passing threat.

For the sake of discussion let's start with a simple foreground wooden tile.
The ups and down, how best to balance it, etc.

    Here's my take:
-Placement would be the same as a background tile for a structure.
    -Does not support structures
-Must be supported, will fall like ladders
-Does not stop bombs or arrows from entering or exiting the concealed area
-Crossing the threshold of a concealed area reveals the area as a whole
-Costs a similar amount of wood to a draw bridge
-Can't be places over: stone, doors, drawbridges, dirt
-Can be placed over: ladders, background wall, open air (should tents and catapult be allowed to be concealed? I think this could be fun)

While typing this and thinking about it more I've already thought of a few annoying scenarios this could create, I still think with the right implementation (how much wood it costs, how hard/easy it is to destroy) it could be really fun.

A dedicated builder could could conceal the entire inside of his base. You could still see all of the walls, but no one moving around inside it. This addresses some of the Line-of-Sight discussions about concealed indoor areas while making it an upgrade that costs resources.

And on a side note: Occasional foreground trees for aesthetics? Walking through a forest would look much cooler if you weaved in and our of the trees.

This would also be a way to actually make useful traps, even if they only fool people once.

I believe there is talk of implementing fog of war in a later build, pretty much doing all the concealing you're talking about much more effectively.
