We need one, truly. I'm getting tired of constant...or...w/e. So I'll try to write them down. Here it goes:
    • The most important rule: Use common sense.[/*]
    • Post in English only.[/*]
    • Don't write PoKeMoN like posts, do not over use colours, enlarged/tiny fonts. Be friendly to readers eyes.[/*]
    • No abusive behaviour towards other forum members.[/*]
    • No flame-wars. Want to bash someone? Do it in private.[/*]
    • Don't post threads about grievers - it only fuels them and makes things worse. Do not feed the troll![/*]
    • No spamming in topics (that includes going off-topic and posting irrelevant to OP content).[/*]
    • No advertising warez, cheats, porn sites, etc...[/*]
    • No excessive swearing - there are many nice words to express yourself.[/*]
    • No double- and multi-posting (edit button exists there for a reason) - unless your last post was submitted an hour before.[/*]
    • No +1 hunting (post including only smiley or something similar just to increase your post count will be considered as abuse and won't be tolerated).[/*]
    • No writing all in UPPERCASE only (I know caps lock is a nice button but please for the god's sake, don't overuse it).[/*]
    • Try to post in appropriate sections of forum. (Section fitting most for content you're about to post).[/*]
    • Use search function before posting. Many threads' been discussed before.[/*]
    • No multi-accounts.[/*]
    • Forum games are allowed - unless they are breaking above rules.[/*]

Forum staff isn't responsible for content posted by members.
Rules can change over time. Not reading/knowing the rules doesn't mean that you don't have to obey them.

EDIT: I forgot - feedback is welcomed.
    EDIT2: Added troll rule.

Wouldn't mind that, sometimes it's hard to sift through all that.. or.. w/e, to get to the 'real' posts.

I don't think the kind of people who would do lame stuff are the kind who would read rule topics.

True is that, but when staff wants to punish people like mentioned above - then they have proper rule in rules set to show it to abusive member.

    Internet Etiquette < ?

@Furai They do? I thought you could just ban someone and get on with life. If the reason isn't apparent then you can call into question. But I trust the admins and mods here.

Yeah, pretty much all the above is netiquette - but believe me, they don't teach it at school any more. As for all your concerns - it will be up to forums' staff whether use these rules or not.

One can always link abusive user to rules when he finds that this person isn't doing what's right. It would be some kind of back-seat moderating.

    Added to main post:
    No multi-accounts.

Pls include this to the forum rules.
And you should sticky the rules to every forum section and not only the "Forum & Wiki" one.

I can't edit main rules thread cause it's been locked and I'm only casual member of this community and forum.
Nevertheless, this rules should be there.

This is good. Thanks for doing it Furai.

I've been thinking we needed this for a long time.

With these here we can point those folks that are in breach of netiquette when they ask what they're doing wrong and legitimately ban repeat-offenders.

I'll edit them in as they come.

Basically don't be a dickhead and you're fine - the occasional breach of the less important rules is fine by me, just don't post one-word responses or mouth off on a regular basis or expect a few days without forum access.

I don't see why that section should be exempt.

Meh, I'm considering just not making post count accumulate in that forum if I can and letting clan thread owners set their own rules. No idea what I can and can't do with FluxBB.

I've been talking with Citricsquid lately about disabling post count for offtopic and clan chat sections. It's not possible in current forum's engine.

If the forum moves to new software that supports this then this would be a good idea, yes.

I'm not sure why you guys used FluxBB instead of phpBB anyway.
