Gamemode proposal: 1 vs 1

Hi!

Today I had the most fun I ever had in KAG. We met on SirSalami's server and it began with building a small cage for 1 vs 1 fights. It evolved to a sophisticated arena and we had 1 vs 1 fights for a long time. Basically when someone in the arena died, the next one from the queue on the balcony joined in. It was awesome.

Please make this a gamemode!

This was soo much fun, we had some 2v2 and 3v3 as well, with varying classes as long as they were even for both teams.

Building the thing was great. There was a lot of team work!

As Quimbo said, this was really fun. I too hope it can be made into a mini-gamemod.

Thanks man and yeah it was really fun, the only thing that could really make it better is if there was an actual gamemode to regulate the fighters going in. And some sort of scoring system so one team can win.

 

Yeah. With some server tweaking and pre-made cage it could work!

Btw, I exited because I got ping-kicked. I tried to join later, but I kept getting kicked (my ping always stayed around 266).

 

Rather than just be a map consisted of terrain, it should be inside an actual arena.

You can place bets on who's going to win the next fight to win virtual money. Said money can be used to purchase a Bison that you can ride around in the lobby area. The lobby area will also have a pub, where for a measly 3 gold you can get drunk and beat up the guy sitting next to you. But be careful; This man might have a bison he can bring into the fray.

Also there need to be beanbag chairs. Tradition be damned.

Fantastic idea. There's something like this in the new build, "Challenge Mode", but it's just vs. bots.

I'd love something like this.

Sani, can the beanbags be full of gold? and the bisons? and the beer?

 

Unfortunately the beer is physically impossible. It is not impossible, however, for the beanbag chairs to be equipped with cup holders.

And foot massager. Mmm.

 

While reading that I wondered whether there will be support for scripting at some point.

 

If you introduce scripting you could use it as something to jazz up the longer term maps too. Stalactites in caves, landslides on dug into hills, strong winds, etc could all add an edge to be exploited. But then one of the most enjoyable things about KAG is it's simplicity. Alternatively;

"You have cleared all the grazing land from the map. YOU HAVE ANGERED THE BISON. FLEE TO YOUR FEEBLE STRUCTURES, BIPEDS"

 

Thats what i wanted to do with you :D

 

That sounds an awful lot like a single player, I like where this is going.
