Griefers Hell

The problem with voting griefers to kick is, that voting does take too long. When you realise that somebody is intended to damage your castle he is often 90% done with his job, and to prevent him fulfilling his mission as griefer, you need to act fast. A voting system is slow. And often a griefer destroys the base outside of the action. Only a few people see him griefing around. As soon as voting is over, the castle is destroyed and the griefer has won. So we need a system that allows fast response to griefers, but doesn't punish people that are restructuring the castle in a constructive way.

My solution would be voting a leader. The leader is allowed to disarm all of his team mates instantly, so that he can act quickly if he sees somebody griefing around. Also he is also allowed to let the people explain what they were intended to do, to prevent innocent punishment. The leader should not be allowed to kick players from the, just disarm them. A kick out of the team would also be a cool feature. Then anybody is allowed to kill him, and they spawn somewhere in griefer village where they cant hurt anyboy.

As a said before, the best solution is just to lower waiting time between kicks, to 2-3 minutes... I realized that in latest patch it got down from 10 to 5 minutes. Though when you are in game you realize that is also too long.

The group leader sounds good, though the person that has the ability to instantly disable someone should be someone for who we are positive that isn't immature or griefer. ;)

The only way we can implement this is with user accounts, because otherwise this will become just another griefing tool.

User A is liked by the community
    User B is a griefer

User B copies User A name
    User B marked as leader

User B disables all of his own team and griefs.

the voting of the leader should automatically disallow this behavior. If everybody has one up vote and one down vote, and down vote is automatically set if sombody disarms you, then the griefing leader can only disarm half of hes crew at a maximum, then the leader goes automatically to another one, who can repair all damage the griefing captain has done very fast.

I think any system has somewhere a little howle for griefers, but the idea is it make it as hard as possible. And I like the feeling of punishing people for doing something wrong.

Now you're just adding needless complexity to a system that would work fine with user accounts. I never even said the idea was bad, I just think it can't work YET.

Also even if the griefing leader cannot disarm all of his teammates, he can disarm some of them, and pissing some people off is better than none, a griefer will do it. Just wait until accounts before suggesting stuff like this.
