How to kill sharks.

a hundred arrows from balista didn't do anything -.- Are they kill able at all?

last i check 1 cata shot will kill a shark if all the rocks hit

 

I prefer 3 kegs ( Tested ), it is more funny.

 

Some creative block placement can trap them one space away from you, a distance from which a builder with a drill can easily WHHHHHHHHHRRR through their massive health bar.

My only problem is collecting the meat. I keep eating it automatically due to drowning damage :(

 

Sharks are easy. Just use a mounted bow.

 

I think i killed a shark once with a backstab from the archer class. Didn't know if that killed it though...

 

I usually just capture them, and keep them as pets.

back to the topic:
they can only attack left and right if im not mistaken.
just lure them to shallow water which is easy.
while they are beached just stay up a ladder 1 block high
and drill its organs out.

 

I don't think you should try to use the fact that they can only attack with their heads:
they can turn around instantly, and the head collision zone seems to be quite large. (twice as large as you'd think)
My favorite way to kill them is to build bridge traps, then either kill them, or keep them for defensive purposes...

My whale has been trained to swallow his enemies and choke them to death.

I tried the ladder thing. Didn't turn out very well. Apparently they are smart enough to destroy the ladder, you probably can imagine how it ended >.<

 

Nevah use ladders.

the way to kill sharks NO one has ever thought of is..... WITH ANOTHER SHARK
just bring a warboat out and the two sharks (if ocean is big enough) will go under it and start doing mouth to mouth warfare.:p
