How to unban someone ?

    Hi

    It seems I can't unban players on my server.

    Here's an exemple of an unsuccessful attempt :

    So the banned player is trying to connect, the console tells me his "numbers" (??) are "2840643917:51188", with the second number changing everytime he tries to connect.

    So I tried \rcon \unbanhid and \rcon \unbanhost, with both numbers and the combination of the two, it doesn't work.

    When I press enter, it justs show me the command I just entered ("\unbanhid 2840643917" for exemple), and that's it, no confirmation or anything.

    Please, fellow server administrators and moderators, I need help :D

    Afaik you need to use \unbanhost and not \unbanhid.

    So to unban him, try: \rcon \unbanhost 2840643917
    (the number after the colon is the port; what you are unbanning is his IP)

    You need to put "\rcon" before every line you write afaik.

    Nothing works and when you think that it works, the console show the mistic message and... the players still banned.

    Some players has been banned at the KAGBrasil.com server and we can't unban.
    No one is thinking about improve these IDs, confused numbers and the commands to ban and unban?
    The most crazy thing is that I need to restart the server to unban every one. It's getting annoying.

    Afaik we can't do unbans atm in 208, a server restart is required to reset all bans.

    This unbanning is completely broke right now. I havent been able to unban anyone with out a server restart since build 228 went live. The server also randomly bans people and the logs are borderline useless and dont even record it half the time.

    Look for the commands too. It's hard to know what is ID, whats host, whats IP, whats what... and the right command to use.

    whitelist and blacklist are done for next build, require you simply editing a text file in Base/Scripts

    Not quite that good, as currently there are a few known bugs that limit the blacklisting capability (host bans will be better for a while) but hey, if you want to make a server that only your mates can get into you can do it in a manner that's much simpler for them ;)
