I am a griefer?

    Hello,

    I've just had it explained it to me that at least three people have been voicing beliefs that I am a griefer. I'd like these people to personally explain why they believe this to be the case, preferably with evidence of my efforts to sabotage teams.

    That I am truly a griefer is news to me. The only instance I can think of is the time I brashly decided to eliminate a spawn point that was destroying the supports of a team structure and in doing so practically handed it over to the opposite team. It was an awfully stupid mistake, but was not a deliberate act against the team I was playing for.

    I don't believe I've been publicly reported as of yet, so I'd just like to set the record straight that I'm not a griefer. Or at least, I never had the intention of being one. I'm not obnoxious, abusive, or a hacker. I play for fun and I play fair, if not entirely with skill or even simple competence sometimes. If I do anything that makes someone suspicious, please voice your concerns openly to me first and foremost on my forum profile. What happens in-game when people start accusing others of griefing can be very hackneyed and confusing so a clear explanation sent to my profile can go a long way.

    You have not been reported and most likely what you were doing was just a mistake, however the three instances were:
    1)You saying 'hmm' and then they said you dropped a bomb where the cata was being made up top, they thought you were attempting to grief and failed.

    2)Someone kept throwing bombs from the top near my cata, then eventually broke the cata, when I asked who was spamming all of those (we were on skype this whole time btw), someone said it was Rocinante, I said I'll keep an eye out because I've seen you and you're not a griefer or an idiot like most pubs seem to be.

    3)I was building a structure and kept you bombing it, I ask who it was someone says Rocinante, I stop to look and you throw a last bomb at the structure again destroying it.

    Again probably misunderstandings and I didn't have time as I was a builder rushing to actually explain via chat ingame, so that was probably my fault, either way you are unbanned now, so have fun, just b a bit more careful if yo can, would be nice.

    I was getting really excited with the bombs in that game. I was being lazy. However, I can only recall the third instance where I was trying to throw bombs over your wall but they both fell short and I backed off, then I was frozen and subsequently banned. It was a mistake. Sorry. :( (I say "hmm" when I die in a funny way, for the record. I'm not sure why…)

    I also should say that I'm not very attentive to the game chat. I figure that 75% of it is just crap that I don't need to pay attention to, but I can end up missing important comments.

    Well sadly, you'd be mistaken. Game chat is full of tons of useful info, whether tactical for your team, or perhaps a moderator is contacting you. It seems you probably weren't responding to what it was the mods were saying to you, making you seem like you didn't want to tell them. (think: and interrogation scene) If you can't prove yourself innocent, you're screwed. Yeah, it's a guilty until proven kind of scene (not normally the best kind either) but it's how they track down griefers and hackers wand what not.
